"You are a bodhi tree, and your heart is like a mirror. Always wipe, don't get dust. "
The Five Ancestors ordered the master to make incense and recite this poem. But I told Shen Xiu myself, "You've never seen your nature, but you only went outside and didn't go in. Such an opinion is beyond bodhi and impossible to get. "
Huineng can't read, but when he smells this song, he knows that he has never seen his nature. The parties also wrote a letter saying:
"Bodhi has no trees, and the mirror is not Taiwan. There is nothing in the original, where is the dust? "
Everyone was surprised. Five ancestors shine shoes: "I have never seen sex."
The next day, Zu sneaked into the room, hit the room three times with his cane and left. Huineng entered the room three times, and the five ancestors covered it with robes, so it was called the Diamond Sutra. To "have no place to live, but have a heart", Huineng realizes that everything can be done without being divorced from self.

The more he wipes away the magic dust, the more he can do it. What can he do? He thinks ignorance is a dirty mirror, but he doesn't know it is a phantom in the mirror. Even if you can't recognize the dirt, you still have a magic mirror. You don't know nature, and you can't see The Machine. At best, you can avoid going astray, but you can't live or die, so you are outside the door.
Six ancestors didn't see sex in four sentences, but they didn't see it thoroughly either. Bodhi can't square things, but it can do anything. Power is a mirror, and the pen name is tree. What are the disadvantages of repression? There is nothing in this disease, but it is empty. Future generations will learn and be infallible. If they don't know what to say, they can't pollute at all, then why are they afraid of dust? Only by insisting on treating the magic show can there be no anti-idiom disease. Or did the reporter not know what his ancestors meant at that time, and the article did not meet the purpose, which is unknown. As for Bodhi as a tree, it is metaphorical, and the mirror is a platform to symbolize the heart. The heart is solid, and sex does not exist. The original is empty and does not exist, so there is no so-called prejudice. Where does the next sentence cause dust? It is more obvious and practical, especially good-natured, so there is no sex and it is empty. There is nothing in the text, which falls on the fragmentation and destruction. The dust is not real, but now it is there, so there is no illusion. The front is holding, and the back is empty. Bodhisattva can't mention both sides, stand in the middle, take neither nirvana nor life and death, dust and dust, and do nothing. If we fully understand nature, we can know that the dust is inseparable from the bodhi, and whether it is provoked or not, we can only feel it but not feel it. This is because it is biased towards the treatment of the gods, so when it is like this, it is not necessarily the case. After the first cloud is empty, we can see that it is, so it is not enough for the six ancestors. I should know what to choose on the basis of literary theory. I once let out a sigh:
Bodhi alias tree, mirror power. There was no pollution, but it was dusty.
Walker should know that ignorance is not a matter, and every time people cling to something, they will do everything they want, so the deeper they study, the farther they go. Today, there is no difference between Bodhi and Bodhi.
The person who said "Diamond Sutra" by five ancestors and three ancestors must correct his four sentences if he didn't interpret it according to the text. When he said "there should be no place to live", he realized that his body was the same, and he would not take emptiness as truth, so he realized. It can be seen that Bodhi doesn't have four sentences about trees, but the language after enlightenment, not the language after thorough understanding.
The word "when" is wonderful. In the past, I saw the stars and sighed: strange, strange, that's what I mean. The five words of the ancestors, that is, those who testify with each other in person, do not live or die by it, so it is enough to say that it is pure and unshakable. Although there are various laws, they are not born, after all, they are not polluted, so they say that they are clean and clean, and they are round, so they see things clearly. This passage is the most crucial, it will prove to future generations that there is no need to hesitate, and the magic power is wonderful.
Therefore, if you don't live, die or waver, you can create various methods, and the body and use are the same. Although there are various methods, after all, there is no ontological obstacle, so there is no wavering. The essence of Bodhi purity is obvious. The beauty of this passage lies in the word "original", and the Sixth Ancestor is really thorough on this point.
As for Shen Xiu's four words, the five ancestors still make the master burn incense and respect. Why? It is also important to emphasize the law. You know, it is not easy to do this, and it is indeed the case. This event is earth-shattering, and no great cause in the world can compare with it.

"The body is a bodhi tree, and the heart is like a mirror. Always wipe it clean, don't get dust. "

With such a little poem, this rough monk who has only been in the door for eight months has become the sixth ancestor of Zen. Since then, Zen has become the most prosperous Buddhist sect in China. Some people even say that Huineng is the true ancestor of Zen in China. As for Zen, I'm just a layman with a little knowledge, so I dare not comment more. What interests me most is that this legendary figure who won many years of penance and mastered Buddhism was illiterate until his death.

So the representatives of human beings, outstanding wise men, trudged one after another on the arduous road to knowledge. Brilliant civilization was born, grew and expanded in the process of arduous knowledge seeking from generation to generation. ...
However, when our science evolved to try to crack DNA, explore Mars, go to heaven, land on the moon and hit planets, we had to find that we seemed to be more and more afraid and ignorant. Take medicine as an example. When I spent more than ten years and decades as an expert authority in a certain field, in retrospect, I found that what I mastered was probably only a small part of the human body. The deeper you go, the shallower you may feel: orthopedics may not understand the brain, and internal medicine may not understand the papers of neurology. There is a joke that a surgeon is helpless about his right leg fracture. He confidently answers other people's questions: "I have studied the left leg!" " "Needless to say, many western doctors regard the prescriptions of Chinese medicine as sacred books. Even for many years, Chinese medicine practitioners may not be able to blindly pick out the medicinal materials used in their prescriptions in the face of intensive medicine fights in medicine kitchens. Confucianism was very worried about this consequence thousands of years ago. They believe that the ultimate goal is to maintain world harmony and order, and people live and work in peace and contentment. Sounds simple.
However, people's thirst for knowledge can never be satisfied, which is simply the driving force for human progress. Even if the outside world tries hard not to touch it, the world inside the circle is enough for everyone to study hard for a lifetime. It is very common to explain a word in the original text with tens of thousands of words just for the annotation in the Five Classics. Next, it is time to annotate these explanations with hundreds of thousands of words. ...
Even if we can really understand the true meaning of sages, at that time, when we look at ourselves in the mirror, we will realize that our white hair is rustling and death has been grinding a sickle in front of us and smiling sarcastically at you. Yu Zeng said that in his study, he was overwhelmed by the indomitable spirit of his ancestors. The ancients also said that the pursuit of knowledge is "inhuman grinding people." How many grinds can you endure in a short life? The accumulated knowledge at different levels is clearly the bloody old scores exchanged by countless ancestors with flying youth and fresh life. It is impossible to read a person's life in a blink of an eye, but it needs breakthrough and innovation.
Some philosophers are more afraid of finding that there is no God to guide us where to go. I found that the burden of the whole world was unloaded from the cross of God and fell mercilessly on my small shoulders. The struggle of life is doomed to disappear completely in the next hundred years; The greater our ability, the more ridiculous and insignificant our existence and knowledge will be; Our pain and sorrow, without God to listen and share-
Our struggle, our confession, our talk, our crying and our grief-stricken wailing can only form a breeze on the cold earth at most, and dissipate silently in boundless silence and vanity.
When the loess gently covers our cold and pale faces, the only achievement is to add bricks to the tower of knowledge with the words left behind, and the next generation will start again at the same starting point: babbling. They can't directly inherit the knowledge and experience of their predecessors, so they have to start a hard journey again-our life is often just to continue the knowledge of future generations.
Zhuang Zhou, a wise man among the wise, left several helpless sighs throughout his life: "My life is limited, but my knowledge is also limited." In order to live a limited and ethereal life and explore endless knowledge, the result must be fatigue.
However, human beings always have to move forward, and to move forward, they always have to constantly learn new knowledge. It's just that the hearts of ordinary people in the world are inevitably confused in exploration, and it's inevitable that they will fall into deep pain because of losing their way in many temptation paths. Religion, whose mission is to save people's hearts, has certainly taken over this difficult problem that can never be solved. When the fairies buried themselves in the voluminous classics to find a good prescription for the world, Huineng took an iron axe to the historical stage.
If the tree is used as a metaphor for knowledge, when the grandparents and grandchildren of all sentient beings have cultivated the soil, fertilized it, pruned it, climbed around the tree, respectfully raised the leaves to the sun, and muttered the vascular bundles of stone cells in the petioles of veins. Huineng transported great magical powers and cut down this leafy tree that has been entrenched in the hearts of the world for many years with one axe.
Hebo sighed at the sight of the sea. Poseidon knew that he was just a small stone and a grass in the mountains between heaven and earth. And this world is too empty, but a drop in the ocean, a drop in the ocean. Our world, the supreme rule of the Three Emperors and Five Emperors, the great achievements of Qin Huang and Wu Han, the fierce and cruel world war, the ambition of heroes and heroes, and the lingering of talented people and beautiful women are nothing but bubbles in a speck of dust in the vast universe and dust in endless dust. If you subdivide it, it is simply empty. So there is this world without this world, there is this life without this life, and there is this person without this person.-What is the difference between this tree and this tree? After thinking about it, everything is only about zero. It is better to fall from the roots, have more sunshine and rain, have more bright moons and breezes, be carefree and have a happy life.
What difference does it make if you can read or not? There is more than one drop in the sea and less than one drop, so what is the surplus and deficiency?
Knowing this word, you may not be able to walk out of the obstacles set by this word and lift the axe in your hand.
Whether Huineng understands the truth or not, I can't comment. All I know is that words are really difficult to express real instant feelings-even if they are used to describe colors for the blind and explain sounds to the deaf, it is futile and ridiculous. This is perhaps the greatest experience of Zen monks. After the Zen master gained the Tao, Deshan Xuanjian piled the book Qinglong Shuchao, which he spent half his life writing, in front of the Buddhist temple and set it on fire. He said:
"Poor the xuan debate, if there is a spark in also; Exhausting the cardinal's energy is like a drop of water thrown into a huge valley. "
Words are so pale and useless in front of truth. The real mystery can only be understood by heart, not by words.
It is this helpless preaching that Sakyamuni showed flowers on Lingshan.
In The Journey to the West, Tang Priest and his disciples fought for the biography of Arnold and Ye Jia and the scripture without words. In fact, this is because they are not enlightened. Scriptures without words are truly supreme wisdom, and Sakyamuni explained it this way: "Scriptures without words are also good. -Because you are all beings in the East, you are ignorant, so you can't see the mystery. People who worship knowledge and believe in writing are mostly mediocre people. What is full of knowledge must be half a bottle of vinegar, and the reading of the nouveau riche is mostly gold and jade, and the illiterate old farmers always cherish the word paper. And some truly talented scholars are deliberately full of new words, lest the square towel get angry. Of course, more corrupt scholars are not in this case. Their smug knowledge is just competing with moths for food.
There is no truth in words, only people with wisdom roots can understand it, and they often wallow in words for half their lives before they accidentally understand it. If Huineng is really that straightforward, breaking through the barriers of written knowledge and pointing to his heart, Shen Xiu should really be persuaded.
Put away the heavy Sanzang Sutra schoolbag, and Wan Li recited it all the way, translating it word for word. For the general public, this is a blunt religion.
Throw away all the words, all the explanations, and communicate with your heart. This is the most wonderful way.
But with all due respect, I think the so-called thorough understanding of Zen is actually despair: the more desperate you are about knowledge, reality and pursuit, the more thorough you are. In the middle of the desert, water and food are exhausted, and the smartest people simply lie down. I can't do anything anyway. Anyway, everything is illusory. What western bliss and endless nirvana are all empty, even empty. Shi Huo has been like lightning for decades, such as the shadow of a river and the shadow of a wild goose disappearing, and everything rises and falls, and the tide rises and falls. I just didn't mean to. I just couldn't think of it. Looking back, Nirvana is in this life, the Western Heaven is at the foot, and the Buddha is himself.
But despair can sometimes become a sharp knife to cut the tight rope and become a breeze, sweeping away the turbid air. Despair often turns into hope.
Get rid of the shackles of old knowledge, throw away all the bottles and cans, lift the skirt and relax. Everything is swaying in front of us, and everything is full of business and fun. Replace the ancient Buddha with spring flowers and autumn moon, watch the catkins graceful and graceful, and dance with butterflies. The tentacles are all secrets, and the confrontation is wonderful. Green bamboo, known as dharma body; The gloomy yellow flowers are nothing more than prajna paramita. Like Liang Wudi, the western holy land, which was painstakingly shaped with gold power, collapsed. From then on, everyone can become a Buddha, regardless of rank, wisdom or stupidity. This shore is the other shore, and an instant is eternity.
In the hard journey, I don't look back or look forward, just understand my own paragraph.
It is this simple and quick method that liberated countless people who struggled in the Spring and Autumn Period in the ivory tower piled with knowledge and words-not only children's liberation, but also many traditional scholars who were confused and confused in Confucianism, and they also rushed out of the tower screaming. In response to the prevalence of Zen in the world, the psychology of mind, which is almost a replica of Zen, shines brilliantly. More and more people help Zen Buddhism to enter Confucianism, and more and more people find that Confucianism, Zen and Taoism are interlinked. At that time, the earth was full of wonderful ideas.
The fish in the secluded stream, the heron in the white clouds, the stumbling when drunk, and the long singing after waking up are all full of deep Zen.
Although it has also fulfilled many so-called "crazy Zen" and "wild fox Zen" that are lazy or indulgent in the name of Zen.
Many years later, in the Song Dynasty, one day a Zen master suddenly understood the truth. Since he was called Huanglong, he was disillusioned with the new Zen master. He smiled and wrote a poem:
"The six ancestors had no husband in those days, and thousands of people were confused."
Sixth ancestor is confused.
