4. A generous person without corners, a late bloomer, a great voice, but an invisible elephant.

6. Therefore, the sage does not desire, does not value hard-to-find goods, does not learn, repeats the mistakes of others, and does not dare to do anything to support the nature of all things.

8. Those who do it will lose it, and those who insist will lose it. This is because the sage has no motives and therefore has no failures, and has no attachments and therefore has no failures.
9. Happiness is the way, and you will always be able to follow it. The way to happiness is always to move with the times.
10. Good deeds only have consequences. Don’t dare to seek strength. Don't be jealous if you have fruit, don't cut down if you have fruit, don't be arrogant if you have fruit, don't be forced if you have fruit, don't be strong if you have fruit. Things grow old when they are strong.
11. He who knows others is wise, and he who knows himself is wise.
12. If you don’t see yourself, you will be clear; if you don’t know what you are, you will be enlightened; if you don’t cut yourself off, you will be successful; if you are not proud of yourself, you will grow.
13. Offer sacrifices to gods as if they were present.
14. The immortality of the Grain God is called the mysterious female. The gate of Xuanfei is called the root of heaven and earth. If it persists, it will not be used diligently.
15. A gentleman does not say that small kindnesses are not worth doing and he will give them up.
16. Too much desire harms justice, too much worry harms wisdom, and too much fear harms courage.
17. The best good is like water. Water is good for all things and benefits all things without fighting. It is disliked by everyone, so it is basically the Tao.
18. Those who want to be strong must use softness to protect it; those who want to be strong must use weakness to protect it; if you accumulate softness, you will be strong; if you accumulate weakness, you will be strong.
19. The way of heaven is to make up for the deficiency when there is more damage. The way of man is not like that, if the loss is not enough, there will be more than enough.
20. Heaviness is the root of lightness, tranquility is the king of impatience. If you are gentle, you will lose your roots; if you are impatient, you will lose your authority.
21. If you don’t see yourself, you will be clear; if you don’t know what you are, you will be enlightened; if you don’t cut yourself off, you will be successful; if you are not proud of yourself, you will be strong; you will not fight, so no one in the world can compete with you.
22. Teaching without words and doing nothing will benefit the world.
23. Those who taught people what they learned in ancient times should practice early, and don’t wait for those who have less lead and mercury to grow old.
24. No one in the world is softer than water, and no one who attacks the strong can win, because it is impossible to defeat it. The weak overcomes the strong, the soft overcomes the strong, no one in the world knows it, and no one can do it.
25. The tree that hugs each other is born from the smallest grain, the nine-story platform starts from tired soil, and the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.
26. If you abandon the sage and abandon wisdom, the people will benefit a hundred times; if you abandon the benevolent and righteous, the people will return to filial piety and kindness; if you abandon the skillful and profitable, there will be no thieves.
27. Misfortunes lie on the back of blessings, and blessings lie on the backs of misfortunes.
28. The sage has his belly and not his eyes, so he goes to this one and takes this one.
