Evaluation of works
Xu Zidong, Professor of Chinese Department of Lingnan University, Hong Kong: Personally, I think The First Furnace Incense is very important, which can be said to be the representative of Zhang Ailing's early style. The famous saying in my genius dream: "Life is a gorgeous robe, full of fleas."
There are three key words in this sentence. One is "robe", which represents clothes, her creative theme and "daily life"; The second is "gorgeous", which represents her writing style; The third kind is "flea", and some people say it is "louse". In short, it represents the sadness and human defects in the works. These three key words, especially their mutual penetration, have been fully reflected in the first incense burner.
