The ideal society of Taoism includes China's anarchism (primitive communism), which includes that chickens and dogs know each other and don't interact with each other when they die. It is an ideal state without a country and complicated social relations.

The ideal society of Confucianism hopes that everyone will abide by strict hierarchy (ethics) and moral norms (ethics), and people at all levels will consciously complete their tasks, thus reducing social contradictions and realizing institutionalized harmony.

So it is not difficult to see the difference and practicality. Confucianism is used to govern the country, while Taoism is used to govern oneself (cultivate one's morality) instead of governing the country.
