Lei Feng's famous sayings
Nails have two advantages: one is the strength of squeezing, the other is the strength of drilling. We must promote this "nail" spirit in study and be good at squeezing and drilling.
A drop of water will never dry up until it is put into the ocean. A person can be most powerful only when he integrates himself with the collective cause.
Without wind and rain, it cannot grow into a big tree; without being tempered, it is difficult to become steel. Moving forward in the face of difficulties is also the only way for our revolutionary youth to grow. Young people with ideals and potential must be willing to endure hardship.
Youth is always beautiful, but true youth only belongs to those who strive for the top, those who always work selflessly, and those who are always humble.
The Story of Lei Feng
Lei Feng went on a business trip to Anton to join the military sports training team of the Shenyang Army Engineering Corps. He traveled a thousand miles on business and did a lot of good things.
As soon as he got on the train from Fushun, he saw that the conductor was very busy, so he started to do it. Mopping the floor, cleaning the glass, clearing small tables, pouring water for passengers, helping women carry their children, finding seats for the elderly, and picking up passengers carrying large luggage bags. After finishing these things, he took out the newspaper he had brought with him and read it to the illiterate passengers to promote the party's policies. I have been busy all the way to Shenyang.
When he went to change trains at Shenyang Station, he found a noisy group of people gathered around the ticket gate. When he got closer, he saw that it was a middle-aged woman who had no ticket and insisted on getting on the train. More and more people gathered around, blocking the road. Lei Feng stepped forward and pulled over the sister-in-law and said:
"You don't have a ticket, why do you insist on getting on the bus?"
The sister-in-law explained in a sweaty voice: "Comrade , It’s not that I don’t have a ticket, I came to Jilin from my hometown in Shandong to see my husband. I didn’t know when I lost my ticket and money.”
Lei Feng heard that what she said was true, so he said: "Don't worry, come with me."
He led his sister-in-law to the ticket office, used his own allowance to pay for a ticket, stuffed it into her hand and said: "Get on the bus, the train is fast. It's open." The sister-in-law said, "Comrade, what's your name and what unit you belong to? I can send you the money." Lei Feng said with a smile, "My name is the People's Liberation Army, and I live in China." Then he turned and left. The sister-in-law walked onto the carriage and waved to him with tears in her eyes.
Lei Feng came back from Anton and changed trains in Shenyang. He picked up his backpack and walked through the underground tunnel when he saw a white-haired old lady, leaning on a stick and carrying a big burden, walking step by step with great difficulty. Lei Feng walked up and asked: "Auntie, are you here?" Where are you going?"
The old man said breathlessly: "I came from Guannai to Fushun to see my son!"
Lei Feng heard that he was going the same way. He immediately took the big baggage, held the old man's hand and said, "Come on, aunt, I'll take you to Fushun."
The old man happily praised him for being a good boy.
After entering the carriage, he found a seat for the aunt, and stood next to him. He took out the bread he just bought and stuffed one into the aunt's hand. The old aunt pushed it out and said, "My child, I'm not hungry, you can eat!"
"You're welcome, aunt, eat! Let's satisfy our hunger first."
The affectionate term "child, child" was given to me. Lei Feng was deeply moved. He felt as if his mother was calling him by his nickname. He stayed by the old man's side and chatted with him about daily life. The old man said that his son was a worker and had been out for several years. It was her first time here and she didn’t know where she would live. As he said that, he took out a letter and Lei Feng took it and looked at it. He didn't know the address on it, but he knew the old man's eagerness to find his son, so he said, "Mom, don't worry, I will definitely help you find him."
Lei Feng kept his promise, and when he arrived in Fushun, he carried the old man's burden, supported the old man, and asked around for more than two hours before he found the old man's son.
These things were later known to the comrades. Someone commented:
"Hey, Lei Feng traveled a thousand miles on a business trip and did a lot of good things!"
