At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, the world was in chaos. The basic industry of the Han Dynasty, which had been inherited for hundreds of years, was also in a storm. It's called "a mess," but to be able to command a territory during such a tumultuous time must have been remarkable. It turns out that there were many celebrities during the Three Kingdoms period. For example, a group of heroes such as Cao Cao, Sun Quan, and Yuan Shao rushed out, all with the ambition to unify the world.
As a leader of a generation, in addition to leaving behind many legendary stories, there are also many aphorisms, such as Cao Cao's "I would rather teach me to betray the people of the world than teach the people of the world to betray me", Zhou Yu's "Since I was born" Yu, why did Liang live?, Zhuge Liang's "Devot yourself to death, and die", Ma Chao's "Die ignorantly, and decay with the grass and trees; live with enlightenment, for eternal life", etc. Liu Bei of the Shu Han Dynasty left two famous sayings that have been passed down for thousands of years. One of them is also a famous warning that is still educating the world today.
The other one saved Zhang Fei’s life and became a classic saying of the underworld! It is said that Liu Bei started his own business in his early years. He lived in exile abroad all year round. Later, he helped Xuzhou Mu Tao Qian resist Cao Cao. In this way, Liu Bei's fate changed. Tao Qian was very grateful for Liu Bei's help, so he appointed Liu Bei as the governor of Yuzhou and garrisoned Xiaopei. Liu Bei has a place to live. What's more, Tao Qian soon fell seriously ill and entrusted the wealthy Xuzhou to Liu Bei.
Soon, Yuan Shu, who had coveted Xuzhou for a long time, came to attack Liu Bei. After Liu Bei asked Zhang Fei to take good care of the Xuzhou base, he took his second brother Guan Yu to see Yuan Shu. Unexpectedly, Zhang Fei drank and played all day long when he saw that no one was restraining him. As a result, Lu Bu, who defected to Liu Bei, found out. Then they raided and captured Xuzhou in the middle of the night. What's more, Zhang Fei was so drunk that he ran for his life and forgot about Liu Bei's wife in Xuzhou.
After Cao Cao left, Tao Qian appreciated Liu Bei's talents and made him the governor of Yuzhou and stationed in Xiaopei. In the second year of Xingping (AD 195), Tao Qian became seriously ill. Before he died, he told the officials: Without Liu Bei, Xuzhou would not be stable. ?In this way, Liu Bei sat in Xuzhou. Liu Bei sat on the throne of Xuzhou and soon encountered Yuan Shu's army marching eastward. In order to deal with the invasion, Liu Bei sent his third brother Zhang Fei to garrison.
But he didn’t expect that Zhang Fei would let Lu Bu, a famous general from the Three Kingdoms, sneak into the city because of a drinking mistake. In response, he left Liu Bei's wife and children and left the city alone. Afterwards, Zhang Fei was so ashamed that he went to Liu Bei personally to confess his crime and even wanted to apologize for his death. When faced with Zhang Fei who came to plead guilty, Liu Bei said nothing, but Guan Yu was very angry and scolded Zhang Fei severely.
Seeing Zhang Fei's annoyance and regret, Liu Bei patted him on the shoulder and comforted him. Then he said a classic sentence. Liu Bei said to Zhang Fei: "Brothers are like brothers and sisters, and wives are like clothes." If the clothes are torn, they can still be sewn; if the limbs are broken, can they be repaired? ?I believe you must have been very angry just now, but what we need to consider is that they were in the Han Dynasty, when women's status was very low, and three wives and four concubines were normal.
At that time, Liu Bei had just lost Xuzhou. Currently, only these brothers can feed their world. If Zhang Fei dies at this time, his heart will disappear. After Liu Bei ascended the throne, in order to retaliate against Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, Liu Bei sent troops to fight against Soochow, but was defeated by Wu general Lu Xun in the Yiling War. He suffered heavy losses and retreated to Baidi City. Liu Bei soon learned his fate.
The purpose of Liu Bei's words is to encourage Liu Chan to pursue morality and practice and make a difference in the future. It means don't do it just because it is a small thing. Don't do it just because it is a small thing. Just don't care about anything. After all, at this time, Liu Bei had changed from a person who was framed by others to the king of a country. His teachings to his son are also his insights into life over the past decades. Today, this sentence has been written into textbooks and has become the motto of many people. Teachers often use this sentence to teach us.
