President-the highest leader of the country after the highest leader, is both the head of state and the head of government. The President "is responsible for implementing the Constitution, coordinating the relations among the three powers, and leading administrative affairs other than those directly under the responsibility of the Supreme Leader". The president is directly elected for a term of four years and can be re-elected for two terms.
It is equivalent to the relationship between the top leader and the president, and the relationship between the general secretary and the prime minister. One formulates major policies and the other implements them.
