Since we came to this world, there is a piece of luggage that has been placed in our backpacks. No matter how many long journeys we go through, it is impossible to be without it. This piece of luggage is what we call responsibility.

Responsibility often goes both ways. Parents have the obligation to support their children, and children have the responsibility to support their parents; individuals have the responsibility to contribute to society, and society also has the responsibility to the individual. For example, society has the responsibility for compulsory education for minors.

Those who can take responsibility are praised as brave. The ancients often used the motto "every man is responsible for the rise and fall of the world", which is why there are all kinds of earth-shattering actions in history, and those who cannot bear responsibility are cowards. To take responsibility, courage alone is not enough, you must also work hard. If you don’t believe me, let me tell you a story:

An 11-year-old American boy accidentally broke the glass of his neighbor’s house while playing football. The neighbor was very angry and sued him for US$12.5 in compensation. This $12.5 was an astronomical figure at the time, enough to buy 125 egg-laying hens. The boy told his father what had caused the trouble and repented. Seeing his son's embarrassment, the father took out 12.5 US dollars and said, "I lent you this money. You must pay it back to me exactly after one year." After the boy lost the money, he began to work hard. Work on land. Finally, after half a year of hard work, he returned this "astronomical figure" to his father exactly. This boy was later U.S. President Ronald Reagan. He also recalled: "Taking responsibility through my own labor made me understand what responsibility is."

Indeed, taking responsibility requires hard work. There are responsibilities that we should bear and cannot be evaded. However, there must be certain principles for assuming responsibilities. Some responsibilities cannot be assumed blindly and must be done within one's ability. Before we do something, we should have a general understanding of the whole thing and correctly estimate our abilities. Otherwise, you will face unimaginable consequences.

Sometimes, irresponsible things often happen, and they often lead to tragedies.

On May 28, 1982, a train was traveling to Guannai. A railway worker put the track machine on the route and went to buy popsicles without taking it off. The result was a train rollover accident that shocked both China and the world. 10 carriages were scrapped. Three passengers died. The cause of this accident was undoubtedly that the worker failed to fulfill his obligations and responsibilities.

Responsibility is a manifestation of integrity. Although it is bitter and sweet, we must bear what we have to bear. When we take up the responsibilities on our shoulders, let us shout: "Carry it up and be a strong brave man!"

It was a hot day, and I was still working on the cement floor, nagging non-stop. Because my father is not at home today while drying rice, I have no choice but to take on this task. I worked on the cement field with a rake and a broom.

I put down the broom and took the rake to spread the piled grain in all directions. When I first started working, I felt very relaxed. However, not long after, I started to feel tired and pushing the rake became heavier and heavier. So, I took a break. Then I started doing it again. I first pushed the grain away, and then pushed the grain into ridges. After finishing these tasks, I found a seat and sat down. Within a few minutes, my eyes slowly closed. I actually fell asleep.

As soon as I woke up, I saw that the millet was almost dry, so I stood up and picked up the tools to harvest the millet. I bulldozed the grains one by one, which took me a lot of time. Then, I pushed the millet into ditch after ditch. In this way, the original millet below is turned up, and the area for drying can be increased. The millet dries easily in the sun.

After completing this work, I feel very happy. Then, I took out the extracurricular books I brought with me and started reading. At the same time, I kept my eyes on the millet to prevent the chickens from eating the millet.

Through this labor, I not only participated in drying grains, but also exercised and shared responsibilities for my parents. I feel happier just thinking about it.
