Don't throw it away
Lin
Don't throw it away,
This passion of the past,
Flowing like running water
soft
Under the cool and quiet fountain,
In the pine forest at night,
Vague as a sigh,
But you shouldn't be real.
It is also the moon,
The lights on the other side of the mountain give the same light,
The stars in the sky,
Make people invisible,
It seems that you are hanging on it like a dream.
You asked for the night to return.
That sentence-you still have to believe it.
Put it in the valley
There's an echo
Make an appreciative comment
Don't throw it away is Lin's famous work commemorating the fourth anniversary of Xu Zhimo's death, and it is also her masterpiece. As two famous poets in the history of modern literature, Lin and Xu Zhimo have maintained a special relationship all their lives. Their early romance in England, though fruitless, laid the foundation for this relationship. But in all their emotional communication, what we see more is Xu Zhimo's enthusiasm and frankness, and the profound influence of this emotion on his short life. Lin tried to downplay her behavior because of her rationality, personal experience and personality factors. Lin himself became the background to express his affection in his relationship with Xu Zhimo. 1936, Xu zhimo in Shanghai was killed by a postal plane in order to catch up with Lin's architectural report in Beijing. In extreme grief, Lin missed this friend who can be a soul mate with himself, and hung a board in the wreckage of the plane in the bedroom as a permanent memorial. 1940 On the fourth anniversary of Xu Zhimo's death, Lin wrote a meaningful "Don't throw it away".
Although the length of this poem is short, it has rich connotations, twists and turns, diverse techniques and complex images. Therefore, grasping clues through implicit words becomes the primary condition for correctly and deeply interpreting the whole poem.
The first seven sentences of the poem are written by the lyric hero himself, "Don't lose the enthusiasm of the past", which are self-advice and tips. As heart-to-heart friends, Lin and Xu Zhimo must have had many experiences to stimulate their enthusiasm and left them an unforgettable impression. Judging from the overall tone of this poem, "this past enthusiasm" should refer to their first love, which is the beginning of their friendship and the greatest emotional investment, so it is also the most cherished. Therefore, although "enthusiasm" has changed with the passage of time, it has not disappeared, but spread quietly like running water, leaving a mark at the bottom of the cold mountain spring, a mark in the dark and a sound in the pine forest. However, after all, it cannot be copied. Therefore, the psychological feeling of these existences to the lyric hero can only be "sighing", which is why the poet advised himself not to throw them away from the beginning.
The "you" in the eighth sentence "You still have to be true" is Xu Zhimo's emotional object. The memorial object of this poem is Xu Zhimo, and "truth" is Xu Zhimo's most distinctive character. The following sentence describes his feelings after Xu Zhimo's death: "It is also a bright moon, and all the mountains are bright stars, but people can't see dreams." The moon is still there, the lights on the mountain are still there, and the stars in the sky are still there, but because things are different, the scenery that has always existed has lost its dream-like reality. My view of things and everything is my color, which expresses the lonely and hopeless feelings of the lyric hero Xu Zhimo after his death.
The last words: "you want that sentence to go back to night-you still have to believe that there is that echo in the valley!" " "That is to say: the first love should ask the night, unforgettable. Even if the night agrees, the echo left by the valley will not disappear. It clearly reflects the love and nostalgia of the living for the dead until death.
