This is a story of rebirth. In 1889, the horse race across the American continent, STEEL·BALL·RUN, started. Johnny joestar, a former genius rider who retired from horse racing because of his lower body paralysis, met Jerome Kibehring, who can manipulate the revolving iron ball, at the beginning of SBR competition. Johnny, who thought that the turning force could make him stand up again, decided to pester Jerome and followed him to the SBR competition. Gerald wanted to get rid of Johnny at first, but after seeing his perseverance, he decided to form a partner with Johnny, and they cooperated with each other in the SBR competition.

However, behind the SBR competition, there is a conspiracy of American President Fani Valenti to collect the remains of saints. Johnny accidentally acquired a part of the remains during the competition. He thought that the remains could make his feet stand up again, so he decided to collect all the remains, which was also the opposite of President Valenti. Besides Johnny, Diego Blando, Hutt Panz and other contestants also tried to win the body in the competition. After a series of battles, the remains were finally collected by President Valenti, and the Wicca Bi Bo, Hertpanz and Diego related to the remains were also removed by him. Even Jerome died at the hands of the President who gained the power of the remains. Under the guidance of Jerome, Johnny finally defeated President Valenti by the force of gyration, but his body was stolen by another Diego brought by Valenti from the parallel world. Although Johnny mastered the gyration of cavalry, he was still defeated by Diego. Diego, who first reached the finish line, was knocked down by Lucy, who arrived by detour, and her body was locked underground forever. Johnny lost the SBR game because of his defeat to Diego. Although Johnny didn't win the game or get the body, he recovered his walking ability at the end of this long adventure and returned to his hometown with full emotion.
