Many people are opposed to this statement. Of course, those who are opposed are not all opposed to this view because of their ignorance. On the contrary, there are many experts and scholars among them, and there are also many fanatics who think the truth is in their hands.
In fact, Socrates, who put forward that "ignorance is evil", has another famous saying, "I know my ignorance", which means Socrates thinks he is ignorant to some extent. If "ignorance is evil" is taken as a measure, Socrates thinks he is also guilty. Of course, this kind of guilty verdict of self-judgment based on modesty is much more noble than those Taoists who are guilty and defend innocence.
