The History of the Qin written by Zhu Changwen of the Song Dynasty is the first specialized history of the guqin in ancient my country, and is also the earliest extant monograph on the history of the guqin. It was written in the seventh year of Yuanfeng (1084) in the Northern Song Dynasty.
"History of Qin" is a music score dedicated to traditional Chinese Qin music. Before the Tang Dynasty, writing was used to describe the finger positions and chord positions of playing the piano, which was called written score. Cao Rou in the Tang Dynasty pioneered the method of subtracting characters, reducing and abbreviating the original character spectrum into a reduced character spectrum, which was used in the Ming and Qing dynasties. In the subtraction notation, the thumb, middle, and ring fingers of the left hand are recorded as "big", "zhong", and "xi" respectively. The fingers of the right hand have different names depending on the direction of the string picking, such as "昘", "昘", "Hook" etc.
Most of the existing music scores are works recorded by subtraction method in the mid-Tang Dynasty. The only one recorded in the written scores is "Jieshi Diao·Youlan".

Ji Xiaolan commented on the book in the "General Catalog of the Complete Collection of Siku Quanshu": "Every manipulation and profit and loss of the system are inevitable. The collection is detailed and the writing is elegant. It can be regarded as "Mo." "Chibian" is even better."
About the author
The author Zhu Changwen (10381098), whose courtesy name is Boyuan, summarizes historical events in the following topics and is named Lepu. He was originally from Shan, Yuezhou (now Shengxian County, Zhejiang Province). He was an official in Wuyue for a long time and lived in Suzhou. His ancestor, Zhu Yiguan, was a minister of the Ministry of Punishment, and his family had a collection of 20,000 volumes. Zhu Changwen was a Jinshi at the age of 19. He fell from a horse and injured his foot. He stayed at home for 20 years. He read a lot of books and wrote many books. In addition to "History of Qin", there are also 20 volumes of "Spring and Autumn Annals" and 100 volumes of "Lepu Collected Works". As well as "Qintai Zhi", "Mochi Yuegu", etc. There is insufficient evidence.
Yuan Youzhong became a professor in Suzhou, later called a doctor of Taixue, and became a preacher in Shaoshengjian. "Introducing Ji Kang's "Qin Fu" and related historical materials, the official secretary of the Provincial Privy Council compiled, Lang Guan, editor and editor.
