Who can tell me about the ancient four tones and their grades?
From the Tang Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty, the even-leveled formula lasted for more than 1000 years under the command of the imperial examination. Whether you believe or doubt the practical function of these formulas, you can only do what others tell you. Especially in the Tang dynasty, scholars selected poems, no matter how well written, will be eliminated. Then, Pingping's opponent will have to sigh outside the examination room all his life! Great poets such as Li Bai and Du Fu have tried again and again, which is probably related to this. On the other hand, even if you have no intention of becoming famous, your poems must conform to the rules, so that some people think that you have entered the threshold of poetry. Otherwise, you may be killed by a stick at any time, and you will never meet your bosom friend. There are all kinds of works that conform to the law, but the masterpieces that do not conform to the law are rare after the middle Tang Dynasty. During the May 4th Movement, this issue went to the other extreme. Metrics are shattered like chains. After more than 60 years, few people are interested in asking about its origin. In the past two decades, due to the revival of couplets, Pinge has also been given a chance to turn over. Although it was knocked down for a while, it has already been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. Once it rains, it will naturally flourish again. As a result of disputes on many issues, schools have been formed. In this regard, I would like to express some immature views and pray for the advice of friends and Fang Jia! First, the practical role of leveling. It is found that the function of leveling is a great progress. However, touting it to the point where it is hard to see for thousands of years will lead to the opposite side and put the cart before the horse. In the past, it was thought that flattening was a kind of imprisonment for intellectuals' thoughts. I agree with this statement. There are many people born to adapt to this kind of imprisonment; There are many works, and naturally there are excellent works that occasionally jump out of this imprisonment. But something is wrong. Most people are at a loss under this imprisonment. They can't do anything all their lives, but become bookworms. Today, some books such as Introduction to Pingwa quote Heaven to Earth, Rain to Wind and Mountain to Water to prove that Pingwa and synonyms have been going hand in hand since their birth. In fact, this is also a question of whether it is a point or not. Most synonyms, antonyms and even words are enough to make people headache, which seriously restricts the author's thinking. The practical function of leveling is to avoid monotonous phonology. As for whether harmony is "beautiful in music" and whether breaking the law is "embarrassing", I suggest that you might as well give it a try. Practice is the only criterion for testing truth. I have a certain level of music myself, my nephew is good at reciting, and we study melody together, which can be described as "a match made in heaven". However, repeated practice shows that the so-called "musical beauty" is a highly exaggerated statement. The so-called "awkward feet" will only appear when many third sounds are piled together. The third sound is piled up together, and the sound cavity appears vague; If the fourth tones are piled together, the sound cavity will be shorter. However, these are minor flaws, because the soul of the poetry association lies in artistic conception and image. There is a saying called "vivid mirror, freehand brushwork", which not everyone can understand and not everyone can do. But the poetry association is dominated by literature, not music; Music is a dependency of literature, not literature. I think everyone can understand this! Second, the relationship between levelness and hue. Shen Yun classified "the first sound, the second sound" and "the third sound and the fourth sound" respectively. This principled mistake, even if it has been questioned for thousands of years, no one will agree. I have asked many experts and scholars why they classify this way. The result doesn't matter. It can be seen that they are also echoing the crowd and dare not challenge the tradition; Or they don't know music, don't know how to read aloud, and have no ability to touch this problem. Write a book and give lectures, just follow the book. In fact, the tone nature of "the first sound, the second sound" and "the third sound and the fourth sound" is very different. The alternation of different tones of the same kind can also make people feel harmonious in phonology. For example, "Who knows the Chinese food on the plate" is five times in a row, but because "who" and "plate" are the second sounds, the phonology is not monotonous. Another example is "The Peak is Loose" five times in a row, because it is the first sound, which sounds much more monotonous. This kind of sentence can be seen everywhere. Thus, the role of mood can not be ignored. Thirdly, about "No matter one, three, five, two, four and six are distinct". I don't know when this statement came into being, but it has never been sublimated into theory. In modern times, many people have participated in the research on the right and wrong of this question, including Wang Li, a famous professor and temperament expert in Peking University. Give examples to demonstrate. Mr. Lu Xun has a famous saying: "In fact, there is no road on the ground. If there are more people walking, it will become a road. " It can be asserted that many famous books have violated the law, and most of them were violated in the place of "1235". Isn't this a "road" If we haggle over the famous books in these places, the criticism of the critics will go on. For example, a poem by Du Fu is full of nasty words. Some commentators said that this kind of treatment showed an angry mood; Some critics say that this treatment is a bold attempt. A flat voice can express anger, but not a flat voice? That's funny! The latter statement has some truth. Because of Du Fu's generosity, it's easy to say a few words of peace in a proper place (as long as it's not limited to death). This example shows that Du Fu's belief in Pingze in the middle Tang Dynasty was not so persistent. No one accused Du Fu of being unfair with such a big tone. It is better to defend him for breaking the law. Celebrities have broken the law, but "one, three, five" certainly doesn't matter. Ordinary poets break the law in the place of "1235", and they all use celebrities and names as examples to excuse themselves. There is a tolerant legend of "no matter" in later generations, and it is even more like a duck to water. This is the mass base to support this statement. So, why break the law in the place of "one, three, five"? Because poetry, especially couplets, the first word is the most eye-catching. A person with writing ability always considers his ideas and confrontation first in this place, not his level. If "two, four and six" are relaxed again, there may be "four consecutive lines" or "four consecutive lines" in the five-character poetry couplet, which is why the mystery of "two, four and six" should be clearly defined. What is the "rhythm point" and the different explanations surrounding it such as "stress" and "phrase boundary" are far-fetched. Fourth, the relationship between pen and ink, recitation and couplets. As far as today is concerned, these two relationships are clear at a glance. Mr. Zhao Rucai put it well: "Where people live, there will be couplets." I once read a dictionary to explain and summarize the couplets in the application. At first, I couldn't help laughing, thinking that the annotator was too careless and arbitrary. After reading this sentence by Mr. Zhao, I feel that the explanation of "practical writing" is not perfect, but it also makes sense. In fact, today's couplets are not limited to the Spring Festival or happy events written in red paper. Junior high school couplet banners flooded into thousands of households; High-grade couplets inlaid with picture frames have also begun to appear in restaurants, hotels and other public places, and their luxury is unprecedented. Couplet magazine also opened up a column of "Lianmoyuan", the length of which is constantly increasing. This shows the relationship between Lian and Mo. Although chanting was very popular in ancient times, it has plummeted today. This is determined by lifestyle. I am a fan of couplets, and I am over 500 years old. So far, I haven't heard anyone recite couplets in front of me. I have never recited my own couplets to others. An old-timer said, "If you break the law, you will show the cloven foot as soon as you sing it, and you don't need to use the flat formula to test it." I am not interested in trying. I just think that radio and TV stations have abandoned this way of reading. Is it necessary for us ordinary lovers to go back to ancient times? What is worth inheriting and developing, and what should be reluctantly given up, has an impact on the trend of the times, and no one can stop it. Therefore, from the current reading situation, there is no need to raise the role of leveling too high. If you exaggerate as before, then you really don't understand the times. Five, also talk about the future of the ancient four tones and the new four tones. Pronunciation and intonation are changing all over the world, and China is no exception. In order to adapt to this change, rhymes are also changing. Otherwise, what's the difference between this and carving a boat for a sword? Since the 1960s (or earlier), radio stations and record companies have hired phonetics experts to read ancient poems or Chairman Mao's poems in Mandarin, and I still remember what I heard. In the 1990s, the poetry couplets read by TV announcers (including Daguanlou couplets) also used Mandarin. This is a new baton, and no one can reverse it. Although it sounds strange to the older generation of poets, they will quit the literary world one day, and millions of new forces will follow. I remember that when simplified Chinese characters were introduced, the new generation applauded them, but the older generation still took pains to use the old Chinese characters. After decades, who will use traditional Chinese characters except for some special occasions? Meanwhile, who will use the ancient four tones in the near future? In today's transitional period, even if someone writes couplets in Ping, few people are willing to read them in Ping, let alone listen to them. Nowadays, people who use ancient flat tones (except melody experts) are mostly lucky. In other words, reading aloud in Mandarin has obviously violated the law, so let's see if Gu can forgive their failure. If you can, you can get a psychological balance. This is not a serious learning attitude, but an opportunistic learning attitude. Of course, melody experts can only use ancient flat tones. Although such people are few, they have great influence because of their seniority. In another twenty years, this genre will naturally disappear. In other words, whether the new four tones will replace the ancient four tones is a matter of time, not a matter of opinion. There is no point in continuing to argue. Sixth, the relationship between form and meaning, antithesis and leveling. Since ancient times, poems that can be handed down from generation to generation are vivid and elegant. In order to obey the needs of image and artistic conception, it is also common for some places to make appropriate concessions. For example, it is icing on the cake, and you can only take care of both. Don't think it is easy to write informal couplets. There is a saying that it is difficult to talk in a common language. A girl who doesn't dress up can attract people, that is, the fairy descended to earth. On the other hand, at all times and in all countries, there is not a (deputy) poem couplet that is famous for its balance and harmony! Obviously, isn't it appropriate to adjust the best ideas for equality? There is a famous saying that "it is better to practice words than to practice sentences, and it is better to practice words than to practice meaning". Don't forget! Seven, high-quality goods and qualified products should be synchronized. Mr. Zhao Rucai's idea of "strengthening the consciousness of fine products" is undoubtedly correct. Because we really don't have many fine products, even if the ancient and modern famous associations combine the law, there are only a handful. Without strengthening the essential consciousness, the number of fine products will fall behind from generation to generation; Don't think that the winning works are fine works. Many grand prix only emphasize the cooperation between leveling and leveling, which is obviously mixed with corruption factors. Isn't such an award-winning work a fake with a red veil? The times urgently need us to work hard to create works that meet the requirements in all aspects, that is, real fine works. Comrade Yu Ziheng pointed out that qualified joint products can be divided into fine products, second-class products and third-class products, allowing them to enter the market like material products. This is also a fact. If someone thinks that cultural products can't be compared with material products. Then I'll take the school as an example: 60 points-100 points belong to the passing category. Aren't all these scorekeepers upgraded the same? If our country only trains top students, there will be few students in colleges and universities; By the same token, if our joint publication only publishes fine works, and the insufficient part is reproduced from the joint book, then the writing enthusiasm of many authors and the reading interest of many readers will be hit, in other words, the subscribers will be directly affected. This is a problem that must be paid attention to. Of course, on the one hand, don't take temperament too seriously, which is the premise of quality products. On the other hand, we should also see that the so-called harmony is mostly a coincidence. It can be said that there are few truly artificial technical adjustments. I wrote dozens of couplets, all of which are like this. However, those who are strict with metrical rules have written several harmonious works in their lives, or how many of these harmonious works are readable? Most of these people put on airs and pretend to be very knowledgeable. Scare some novices I don't think this is too much. Because this decade, such pseudo-scholars have seen too much! It is difficult to master leveling. Don't think it's easy to brew artistic conception. Dueling is a basic thing. Of course, we will often encounter difficulties and sometimes even rack our brains. The combination of conception, confrontation and leveling is the dividing line between fine products and qualified products. Only when high-quality products and qualified products are promoted simultaneously can we truly prosper and meet multi-level needs.
