He was chasing the rolling pebbles when he suddenly found a faint trace of rice grain on the roadside. He looked up and looked forward along the rice grain, only to see an old woman trudging forward with a bag of rice on her back. There was a small hole in the rice bag, and the rice was leaking out along the small hole.
He quickly shouted, "Old woman, please wait, your rice bag is leaking!" " The old woman quickly stopped and turned around. The old woman saw the rice leaking out constantly and said anxiously, "Oh, no! What should I do? " He ran over and saw her mother-in-law anxious, and his brow wrinkled. He suddenly lowered his head and saw the white shoelace. He had a brainwave and said excitedly to his mother-in-law, "Don't worry, mother-in-law, I have an idea!" As soon as the voice fell, he took off the shoelace without hesitation. At this moment, her mother-in-law understood, and she said, "What a pity to tie the shoelace beautifully!" Little Qu Yuan didn't wait for her mother-in-law to say anything more. He pinched the small hole in the rice bag with his hand, and then tied it tightly with shoelaces, so that the rice no longer leaked out. He looked at his mother-in-law's face washed by years and said to her, "You are tired. Let me help you carry rice home. Will you lead the way?" He picked up the rice bag from the ground, put it on his back and walked on. Walking came to her mother-in-law's house. It turned out that her mother-in-law was the mother of a soldier guarding the frontier, and her mother-in-law repeatedly thanked him. 2. The Legend of Qu Yuan's Surrender to the River
Qu Yuan was originally an important minister of Chu. He was trusted by Chu Huaiwang in his early years and served as a left disciple. He often discussed state affairs with King Huai and participated in the formulation of laws. While presiding over foreign affairs. Advocating that Chu State should unite with Qi State and * * * should contend with Qin State. With the efforts of Qu Yuan, the national strength of Chu State has been enhanced. In the twenty-fourth year of Huai Wang, Qu Yuan was expelled from Ying Capital and lived in northern Han Dynasty.
During his exile, Qu Yuan felt depressed and began to create literature. His works were filled with nostalgia for Chu and Chu style and enthusiasm for serving the people and the country.
I was called back later. After thirty years of Huai Wang, Chu Huaiwang refused to listen to Qu Yuan's dissuasion, insisted on entering Qin, was detained, and later died in Qin. After King Xiang ascended the throne, Chu Qing was so ignorant that he listened to Yin Zilan's slanderers and expelled Qu Yuan again. Qu Yuan lives in the area of Xiangshui, Yuanshui, Hunan Province. In the twenty-first year of King Xiang of Qing Dynasty (278 years ago), the general of the State of Qin sent troops south in vain, and broke the capital of Ying. In desperation and indignation, Qu Yuan threw a big stone into the Miluo River and died.
The fishermen on the river and the people on the shore heard that Dr. Qu Yuan threw himself into the river, and they all came to the river to try their best to salvage Qu Yuan's body. (This custom later evolved into a dragon boat race.) People took out zongzi and eggs from their homes and threw them into the river, so that the fish would not bite Dr. Qu's body. There is also a doctor who pours realgar wine into the river, so that the medicine can stun the dragon water beast and prevent the body of Dr. Qu Yuan from being hurt. Before long, a dizzy dragon floated on the water, with a piece of doctor Qu's skirt on its beard. People pulled the dragon ashore, pulled out the tendons, then wrapped the tendons around the children's hands and necks, and wiped their brains with realgar wine. Some even wrote the word "Wang" on the children's foreheads, making those poisonous snakes and pests afraid to hurt them. From then on, every year in early May, Quyuan threw himself into the river for martyrdom, the people of Chu went to the river to row dragon boats, throw zongzi and drink realgar wine to commemorate the poet, and the custom of the Dragon Boat Festival was handed down.
According to Wen Yiduo's research, the Dragon Boat Festival existed in wuyue before Quyuan threw himself into the river. However, from the death of Quyuan more than 2,2 years ago to today, it has been recognized by the mainstream of China society as a sacrifice to Quyuan.
The fifth day of the fifth lunar month is the traditional Dragon Boat Festival in China, also known as Duanyang Festival, Chongwu Festival and Duanwu Festival. As early as the Zhou Dynasty, there was a custom of "storing orchids and bathing on May 5th". But many activities of Dragon Boat Festival today are related to commemorating Qu Yuan, a great Chinese writer.
