Bai Yutang Spring Dance, Kochinda Volume. Bees and butterflies make a mess.
How many times have you walked with the water? Must you appoint Chen Fang?
Never change, let him get together and let him leave. Don't laugh when you are young, there is no root,
Good winds help me go to heaven.
Translation 1
The catkins scattered in the spring breeze danced in front of Bai Yutang, and the east wind wrapped around it, so graceful and light.
Like swarms of bees, butterflies are busy as a bee. Has this flying floc ever gone away with the spring water?
Why should this plum blossom be abandoned in the fragrant mud and dust?
Endless entanglement can never be changed, floating around and letting it converge or separate,
Don't laugh at beautiful spring. It has no roots and no ties. As long as you always rely on the powerful spring breeze,
You can send me to the clouds!
Translation 2
The spring in front of Bai Yutang seems to be dancing. The gentle east wind is blowing slowly, and catkins are evenly scattered all over the sky, just like a square of bees flying around butterflies. Did not fall into the distant running water, and did not necessarily fall into the mud and dust. Wicker remains the same, no matter whether the catkins are reunited or separated, don't laugh at my rootless wandering in spring, I will rise to the peak with the power of spring breeze. )

This is a catkin poem written by Xue Baochai, which was chosen as the best work by everyone.
Describing her creative intention, Xue Baochai said: "Catkin was originally a fine thing without roots and stumbles, but in my opinion, I have to talk about it so as not to fall into the trap." It can be seen that the fundamental reason why this word can be unconventional and unique is that it tells a thing that "everyone has nothing".
It is true that most of the previous catkin poems mainly express the deep hatred of catkin floating in the wind to express the poet's perception of society and life. Although this Que Ci also describes the scene of catkins flying in spring, it is a cheerful, optimistic and positive strong voice, which is contrary to the sentimental mood in previous Ci. Look at the beginning of the word, which is already extraordinary: "Bai Yutang dances before spring, Kochinda rolls." . The place where catkins fly is no longer the "Hundred Flowers Island" and "Swallow House" written by Daiyu, but the "Bai Yutang Front" full of rich weather-the residence of aristocratic families; Liu Xufei's posture, though still "a blanket in pairs", is no longer the kind of "ethereal and romantic" in Daiyu's ci, but has become a cheerful, light, even and beautiful dance, revealing a cheerful and harmonious joy. The third sentence of the word, followed by the description of "butterflies and bees", further dyed this beautiful time of spring, thus singing the poet's praise for spring. If we compare the two images of "Ying Ti Die Sorrow" in Bao Yu's Nan Ke Zi and "Du Fu Ti Yan Jealous" in Xiang Yun's Dream Talk, we can see that it is quite different from Bao Chai's Que Ci in emotional tone.
On the surface, four or five sentences in the ci borrowed the meaning of "three points in spring, two points in dust and one point in water" in Su Shi's "Huayang Fu", but on the basis of flexible application, they dug deeper and brought forth the new. With the rhetorical sentence of "several times" and "certain", the emotions expressed in Su Shi's poems suddenly reversed, and the negative emotions turned into positive spirits. At the same time, as far as the structure of words is concerned, the people who write catkins here are unwilling to drift with the tide and fall into the dust, just to express the desire of catkins to rise to the top of the world for the next word and skillfully pave the way.
In this way, the poet pays more attention to expressing catkin's feelings when he transitions to the next paragraph of the word: "If you don't change for a thousand miles, let it gather and disperse." Although catkins are flying all over the sky, they still don't change their original intention, and they are happy with the situation. This is a very subtle embodiment of broad-mindedness. It is precisely because of this emotional foundation that in the last three sentences of the poem, the poet directly expressed the great ambition of catkin to soar with the help of the east wind, sublimated the theme of the whole poem, and completed the revelation of the whole psychological process of catkin emotion.
Obviously, this word is written on the surface of catkin's appearance and psychology, but in fact it is a portrayal of Xue Baochai's self-personality, a "knowledgeable and knowledgeable" "lady". Isn't her attitude of "silence, playing the fool, being quiet at any time and being self-disciplined" reflected in the image description of catkin "getting along"? She tried to imitate Yuan Chun through the "draft", and then wholeheartedly hoped to win the favor of her master, and strived to ascend the throne of "Grandma Bao Er" and squeeze into the ranks of the upper class aristocratic rule. This pursuit of life was not openly manifested through catkin singing! So this word is actually the most profound revelation of Xue Baochai's whole outlook on life.
