This afternoon is a very happy afternoon, because there is a "We Love Science Experiment Party" in our grade. Hey hey! Isn't it cool?
When I went downstairs, the students were already queuing, and the noisy playground became silent. The experiment finally started. With the head teacher's order, everyone went to see the experiment done by young college students. I couldn't wait to run to the experimental place, and my big brothers and sisters began to do experiments. Wow! The scientific experiment is simply wonderful! Even soap and paper can move forward in the water like a boat. A few drops of chemicals can turn an ordinary white steamed bread into a blue one. An egg will sink to the bottom in ordinary tap water, but it will float on the water in salt water. These experiments make everyone feel amazing.
The experiment that interests me most is "dry water". After hearing this name, I really feel very strange. The water itself is wet. How can it be called "dry water"? I saw an elder sister bring a glass of water and put a packet of peppers in it. Suddenly, a film formed on the water. When you touch it with your hands, your hands won't touch the water. What a miracle! There are more and more people watching, and some students are still jumping behind.
For me, the most incredible experiment is "matches that love sugar". How can matches eat sugar? This aroused my keen interest. Sister took out two matches and put them in the water. Then she took a piece of rock sugar tied with a rope and put it on the water. The eye-catching stage began, and the two games seemed to be absorbed by sugar. Where the sugar goes, the match follows.
Look, how interesting and magical science is! These phenomena happen around us, and we must observe them carefully and learn cultural knowledge well before we can master science. At the same time, science will bring us unlimited fun.
It's the early morning of the weekend, and I haven't come back so late for my first experiment. The whole experimental building is empty, only the low roar of instruments and my gentle breathing. Holding the product I just got, I recalled entering the laboratory this month. This kind of spiritual pleasure and physical and mental relaxation can only be experienced by those who have experienced it.
Actually, the experiment I want to do is not too difficult. Neither the experimental operation nor the experimental conditions are relatively strict. But I struggled in this experiment for a month because I had no experience, no confidence and no experience of moving there. Specifically, my failure lies in three details:
First, according to past experience, it is often to add as much catalyst as possible and to add as much reactant as possible. For me who just entered the laboratory, I was eager to express myself and wanted to get higher conversion rate and yield, so I added more catalyst and a reactant, which led to many side effects.
Second: the level of column chromatography needs to be improved, so we should let the seniors observe and experiment more. The product is difficult to separate this time, so it is necessary to add as little dichloromethane as possible during the column loading process, otherwise the product cannot be separated.
Third: developer. The developing agent I used this time is petroleum ether: acetone = 3: 1. Because the boiling point of acetone is lower than that of petroleum ether, acetone volatilizes quickly, leaving petroleum ether with very small polarity, and the silica gel plate can't climb up at all, which has a great influence on judgment column chromatography.
This experiment made me realize some feelings of scientific research. In fact, scientific research can't be eager for quick success, nor can it be eager for success. You should do the experiment slowly and make sure that every experiment has a clear result, otherwise you will waste a lot of time. Use your own brain to analyze. For example, the ligand I synthesized this time should be dried with anhydrous sodium sulfate after extraction, but because it was gone for a while, I was lazy and replaced it with anhydrous magnesium sulfate. God, magnesium ions can form a stable complex with my ligand, and as a result, a few grams of ligand I worked so hard to make will be destroyed! As a young novice in scientific research, we should bear in mind that scientific research lies in enjoying the process of exploration. The reason why I came to do experiments is because I like the feeling of doing experiments and the life of scientific research. Don't rush to show yourself and prove yourself in front of my tutor, it will go against the purpose of scientific research.
Ok, I'm going back, take a shower, have a good rest tomorrow and prepare for the summer vacation. I really want to see my parents, my brother and my former classmates. Starting from our earth's atmosphere, we will explain the nine planets in the solar system, and then extend to the Milky Way, other galaxies of other stars, BIGBANG, terrible black holes, the origin of life on earth, and the existence of alien life.
The starry sky we look up at is full of magic and unknowns. Some dust in space may be the origin of our life and the initial formation of organic matter.
It's really interesting. Every picture and every explanation is full of interest and knowledge. You can travel in space with those great scientists and explore those mysterious and unknown boundaries together.
Exploring the unknown in outer space is actually looking for the origin of our life on earth.
The process of scientific practice is actually an extremely boring process. This process may have to repeat the same monotonous work for many years, and it will also face repeated failures, repeated establishment and overthrow.
But science is actually full of great fun. Perhaps it is precisely because of the continuous development and progress of human wisdom, attracted by this kind of fun and driven by curiosity about the unknown world that we have uncovered a series of magical mysteries.
When those great scientists are interviewed, you can't see machinery and boredom in their faces. They are full of passion when they tell you about the journey of discovery, and their eyes are full of excitement and excitement. When describing the new nebula discovered after the explosion of a star, they said how spectacular, incredible and fascinating it is, waiting for human beings to explore. They don't talk about meaning at all, let alone successfully complete the major tasks assigned by the party and the state. They are only satisfied with their curiosity and fascinated by the fun of their discovery, but they have made great contributions to the progress of mankind inadvertently.
About the fun of science, it reminds me of another writer I like, Wang Xiaobo. At that time, Wang Xiaobo, like most enthusiastic young people, obeyed the call of the Party and went down to the countryside to become an educated youth.
At that time, there were only quotations from Chairman Mao and model operas. For Wang Xiaobo's generation of idealistic people, life is really monotonous and boring, and they simply can't accept any foreign culture and ideas. They only ask for instructions early and report late, only have great unity and only have false formalism.
Wang Xiaobo said that at that time, his only pleasure and the only thing that brought him happiness was to do advanced math problems. At that time, he felt alive. At that time, he can forget the ignorance around him and get his temporary happiness in the world of mathematics.
If Wang Xiaobo continues his happiness, he may get some new theorems carelessly. Of course, this is just a joke. Happiness in life is true happiness.
I hope that the work I am engaged in is not only passive work, but also fun from it, so that the process of your work is actually the process of your experiencing happiness.
