What is the purpose of studying? Reading makes people wise, reading makes people progress, and reading makes people stay up all night about ancient and modern times, Chinese and foreign affairs, mature thinking, and be steady and measured in doing things.
The first time I read the book "Tao Te Ching" came from a personal reading and growth community. Under the influence of a friend, I then purchased a paper copy of the "Tao Te Ching" and started my reading and learning journey.
There are many classic contents in the book, which allowed me to see the profound wisdom of the sage Lao Tzu. Reading made me happy and changed my way of life. I became a humble and low-key person and did things in a high-profile way.
The chapter of the book that interests me the most is as follows:
My understanding is that we should be humble as human beings, and we should not regret improving our status or ridicule and belittle those who are inferior to ourselves. Look at other people's jokes.
As a teacher who never forgets the past, we need to always reflect on ourselves and whether our words and deeds are in line with the rules and affect the emotions of others.
You must not be arrogant or arrogant and ignore others. You must be polite, respect your teachers, family and friends, and be kind to people who are weaker than yourself. Everyone will have the opportunity to grow and live a happy life. Those who do evil will be rewarded, and those who do good will be blessed. Only by being kind and having a bit of edge can life be easier.
