Half a day, the author spent half a day studying and writing all his life, from fear of school and learning, fear of contacting new people and environment, to liking learning before entering school and liking everything in school. Finally, I wrote that time flies and changes like half a day, and I get old if I am not careful. I think what the author wants to tell us is that time flies so fast that we should cherish the time of study.
