CliveStaplesLewis (English: Clivesta Pleslewis, November 29, 1898-November 22, 1963), commonly known as C.S.Lewis or? Lewis, nicknamed Jack by his friends and family, was born in Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland, but has lived in England for many years. < P > He is a famous Welsh-born British writer, poet and apologist. He is famous for his children's literature "The Legend of Narnia", in addition to theological papers, medieval literature research and many other works.

Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien, another famous British writer, are friends with each other. They both taught at Oxford University.

Many literary works in later generations were inspired by C. S.Lewis's works, including Harry Potter by J·K· Rowling. Rowling once said that Lewis was one of her favorite literary writers and said that she had enjoyed reading the Narnia series since she was a child.

Asteroid 7644 discovered in 1988 was named "Cslewis" to commemorate Lewis.
