Shine on you (q and ng cháyúlán)
Release green is extracted from blue grass, but its color is darker than blue grass. Metaphor means that students surpass teachers or future generations surpass predecessors.
In Xun Zi's Persuasion by Xun Kuang in the pre-Qin period: "Green, take it from blue, and be blue; Ice, water is cooler than water. "
Use subject-predicate form; As a predicate; Include praise
Distinguishing between "shining on you" and "coming from behind" means that future generations surpass their predecessors. Shine on you is often used to indicate that students surpass teachers, apprentices surpass teachers, and younger generations surpass their predecessors. Coming from behind is not limited to people, but can refer to all subsequent phenomena and things that surpass the previous ones.
Take Bing Xin's "Mourning for Lao Guo" as an example: "And its translation of poetry is also unusual."
Synonyms come from behind.
Antonyms are getting worse and worse.
Green is extracted from blue grass, but the color is darker than blue grass. The language "Xunzi Persuasion": "Green is taken from blue, and green is blue; Ice, water is cooler than water. " Yang Shu's Note: "Metaphor is the only way to understand its essence." Later, an epiphany was used to describe that students are better than teachers, or that future generations are better than their predecessors.
Green is taken from blue, and green is blue. "Xunzi's famous saying in" Encouraging Learning "has been circulated for thousands of years, and everyone knows it, but not many people know the scientific truth. Cyan refers to indigo, that is, indigo; Blue refers to bluegrass-the general name of several plants that can be used to make indigo dyes, such as Isatis indigotica, Polygonum cuspidatum, Lonicera edulis and so on. Note that the "blue" here should be distinguished from the "blue" of orchids and bluegrass. His original intention was to extract indigo dye from bluegrass, but its color was darker than bluegrass. Later generations generally use "shine on you is better than blue" to describe that students are better than teachers, which is similar to the meaning that the waves behind the Yangtze River push the waves before.
The color of plants is generally green, because it contains chlorophyll, and all kinds of blue grass are no exception. The color of indigo is not composed of chlorophyll, but a dark blue indigo molecule condensed from two indophenol molecules. Therefore, the color of "indigo" is naturally much darker than "blue (the natural green of blue grass)". That's why shining on you is better than blue.
As early as before the Qin and Han Dynasties, people did not know the mechanism of vat dyeing with indigo dyes. Only in the harvest season of Isatis indigotica, cut the blue grass and soak it in the bright liquid, and then dye it with the dye liquid as soon as possible, so as to facilitate the free pigment to condense on the cloth to form water-insoluble indigo dye and form blue. This process is generally short. After a little longer, once the indophenol in the dye solution is completely concentrated, it will turn into a blue precipitate, which is no longer of use value. Therefore, at that time, it was the harvest season of blue grass, and the dyers were very busy. They had to step up dyeing day and night, or the dye solution would be scrapped. Once, two dyers in a dyehouse were busy and tired all day, but they still didn't finish dyeing the cloth to be dyed. However, the dye solution in the pool is about to turn into blue mud. Angry and tired, they drank a few more drinks at dinner. As a result, they got as drunk as a fiddler. One of them threw up on the edge of the dyeing pool, and then fell asleep by the pool. The next day, the two masters who were ready to accept the boss's punishment took a look: there were many bubbles floating on the dyeing pool, and the blue mud precipitated yesterday disappeared with a dyeing stick! The two were very surprised and quickly put a piece of white cloth in it to soak. As a result, they took it out and saw that it was not the original blue, but tan. When they were disappointed, the yellow-brown cloth slowly turned blue! Hey! This is an unexpected good thing. With this method, there is no need to worry about the precipitation of blue grass dye solution, and it is possible to preserve this dye for a long time by using the principle of precipitation. This dye was called "blue lagoon" because it was precipitated by blue dye-a word was later coined for it: indigo. It means the precipitation of cyan (blue).
