Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani (Arabic:? ; English: Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, 1980 was born in Doha, the capital of Qatar, on June 3, 1980. He is the current Emir (King) of Qatar, the fourth son of Emir Hamad, and 1998 graduated from sandhurst Military Academy. In August 2003, he was appointed Crown Prince and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
The coronation ceremony was held on June 26th, 20 13, and he officially succeeded the Emir of Qatar. He also served as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Chairman of the Supreme Economic Affairs and Investment Committee, Chairman of the Supreme Major Projects and Heritage Committee, Chairman of the National Security Committee and a member of the International Olympic Committee.
