Liu Xiang (1888- 1938), a lean man in the Republic of China, gradually developed in the civil war in Sichuan, tied the pack, unified Sichuan, and was introverted, deep and reserved, cautious and fierce. He and Chiang Kai-shek remained semi-independent during their lifetime and made great achievements in military and politics. On the other hand, Liu Xiang has also invested heavily in education in Sichuan and Chongqing. 1929, Chongqing University was founded. It was the first president and made great contributions to major development. After the Lugouqiao Incident, Liu Xiang left Sichuan to fight against Japan and died in Hankou on 1938. Before he died, he left a will: "In the end, the enemy will not retreat, and the Sichuan army will not return!"
