The stone monkey volunteered to dive into the waterfall and found a spacious and quiet water curtain cave. Later, he was elected as the Monkey King by the monkeys in Huaguoshan, and was honored as the "Monkey King". In this way, the Monkey King had a good time in Guo Huashan, and hundreds of years passed quickly. Later, in order to make himself immortal, he also left Guo Huashan to seek immortality.
The Monkey King rode his own raft all the way across Qian Shan to visit a famous teacher in Niuhezhou, Xi. Under the guidance of a woodcutter, he came to Fangcun Mountain in Lingtai, worshipped Bodhi as a teacher, and was named Monkey King. Bodhi is hundred schools of thought, the master of the three religions, with boundless magic. He thinks he has the ability to teach Wukong spiritually to live forever.
Later, knowing that the Monkey King would go out to get into trouble, he taught the Monkey King eighteen martial arts, seventy-two changes and somersault clouds in three years, all of which were skills of fighting and escaping. However, when the Monkey King was about to learn Kung Fu, he was expelled from his old school by Bodhi for showing off his skills in front of other disciples. When he left, Master Bodhi repeatedly reminded the Monkey King not to mention him after he left his legacy, or the Monkey King born to die.
The Monkey King returned to Huaguoshan after learning Kung Fu, but at this time, water curtain cave of Huaguoshan was occupied by a demon named "Human Demon". Seeing that his monkeys were bullied, the Monkey King, who couldn't swallow this tone, killed them in an extracurricular way and gave him the evil spirit of the little monkey. (In the CCTV version of Journey to the West, the devil incarnate and the Monkey King became sworn brothers. )
In order to help the monkeys not be bullied, the Monkey King, who defeated the human demons, used magic to photograph Olego's weapons on Guo Hua Mountain, and all the monsters on the mountain fell at Wukong's feet. The monkey king in the prosperous city later recovered the 72-hole demon king and became the six demon kings of Jieyi, but he was worried because he didn't have handy weapons.
In order to find a weapon to weigh, he had a big fight in the Dragon Palace in the East China Sea, and finally found a golden hoop, which was given by the other three sea dragons as a cloak. Soon, he went to the underworld again and erased all the names of monkeys from the book of life and death. All kinds of actions made the Dragon King and the Prince bear a grudge. They jointly reported to the Jade Emperor in heaven, demanding the arrest of the demon monkey.
The jade emperor was very angry when he saw the complaint, and he wanted to send heavenly soldiers to catch the demon monkey. However, due to the suggestion of Taibai Venus, the Monkey King was called into the upper bound, and he was awarded the title of Bi Marvin, and he was supervised by the imperial horse. A few days later, the Monkey King learned that he was a bad official and felt that his self-esteem had been fooled. In great anger, he beat the worse gate and returned to Huaguoshan to call himself "the Monkey King".
When the Jade Emperor learned that Wukong had escaped, he personally ordered King Tota and Prince Nezha to take the heavenly soldiers and generals to catch Wukong, and Wukong was defeated. The Jade Emperor had no choice but to acknowledge the title of "Monkey King" and ordered the Monkey King to manage the Flat Peach Garden in Tiangong.
But unexpectedly, the Monkey King was defiant. Instead, they ate flat peaches, drank fairy wine and ate elixir, disrupting the flat peach feast. Wukong, who broke the curse, once again faced the arrest of the generals in heaven, and then he defeated all the immortals and made the separation technique famous all over the world. Later, he lost a bet with the Tathagata and was forced to repent under Wuxing Mountain (renamed Liangjieshan in Tang Dynasty) and turn over a new leaf for more than 500 years.
According to the original records, the Monkey King suffered a lot during his oppression. If you are hungry, give iron balls; if you are thirsty, you can only drink molten copper juice. In this way, the Monkey King suffered for nearly 500 years. After being enlightened by Guanyin Bodhisattva, he was saved by the Tang Priest and worshipped as a teacher, and embarked on the road of learning from the West.
While protecting Tang Priest's scriptures in the West, the Monkey King kept exorcising demons all the way, defying hardships. After eighty-one difficulties, he finally returned to the Tang Dynasty to protect the Tang Priest and his disciples, and was also named as an anti-Buddha. However, the relationship between master and apprentice is not smooth on the way to learn from the scriptures. During this period, Wukong was severely reprimanded by Master several times and was expelled from the Buddhist team.
In the novel, although the Monkey King didn't stick to the tradition of respecting teachers and attaching importance to morality, he sometimes sneered at Tang Priest, but he always remembered the kindness of Tang Priest to save him. And this is also shown every time he is driven away by the Tang Priest. Especially in the early days of learning the scriptures, when the Monkey King Monkey King Thrice Defeats the Skeleton Demon, he even said a famous saying. Although it is only 14, it is a way of being a man and has been widely circulated so far!
In the twenty-seventh chapter of the original work, that is, in the chapter of "Three plays play Tang Sanzang, and the holy monk hates chasing the Monkey King", four people pass by a barren mountain, and the Tang Priest and his disciples are hungry, while the Monkey King is rushing for Xiangyun to find food. At this time, Bai saw that the Monkey King had left, and felt that there was an opportunity, so he became a boy delivering meals and said that he would give alms to Tang Priest. Pig Bajie and Tang Priest, who can't tell the truth from the false, almost fell for it. At this critical juncture, master elder brother the Monkey King arrived in time, saw through the prototype of * * * with a critical eye, and killed Bai with a stick. When Tang Priest saw this, he was furious and mistakenly thought that the Monkey King had killed innocent people and wanted to drive the Monkey King away.
At this time, the Monkey King said something like this: I didn't repay my master's kindness, so I didn't want to leave. Then the Tang Priest asked me what I owe you. The Monkey King quickly knelt down and kowtowed and said, "I made a scene in the Heavenly Palace and was killed. I was crushed to death by my Buddha. Guanyin Bodhisattva and I are forbidden. Fortunately, master saved us from suffering. If I don't go to the Western Heaven to learn from you, it will appear that I am' grateful for not reporting non-gentlemen, and I will never be able to recover'. " It means that people who know others are kind to them but don't repay them with kindness are not noble and will be reviled from generation to generation. )
Thus, in The Journey to the West, the Monkey King is a monkey who attaches great importance to emotion and righteousness. He knew that the master had saved his life, and he would repay this kindness no matter what. With the expansion of the influence of the Journey to the West, the phrase "If you don't repay the kindness of a gentleman, you will be cursed forever" has become a famous sentence for hundreds of years and has been widely circulated so far.
Because the short word 14 marks the bottom line of human life. Tell us to know how to repay kindness and never be an ungrateful person. The kindness dropped by others should be rewarded for a spring, which is the shining point of human nature.
This traditional virtue of gratitude and kindness is also vividly displayed in the novel Monkey King. In Chapter 31 of the original work, Huang Paoguai took Tang Priest and Pig Bajie to beg the Monkey King to save him. Huang Paoguai said, You have been expelled by your master, and you have no face to see me.
Wukong replied, "you monster, do you know' once a teacher, you will be a father all your life'?" Father and son stay overnight without worries? You hurt my master, why didn't I come to save him? " From this point of view, although the Monkey King was vicious, when he learned that Master had been killed, he was grateful and saved Master from the monster. It was really admirable!
