Content: Qin Keqing takes Jia Baoyu to the first room for a nap. There is a picture of burning quinoa and a couplet on the door. It is this sentence, "Everything is clearly learned, and human feelings are articles." Baoyu looked at it and refused to go in.
The antithetical couplet "All things are learned, and people's understanding is an article" is a traditional concept of Confucianism, which expresses the side of Confucianism's entry into the WTO and is also one of the feudal moral standards. A Dream of Red Mansions expresses anti-feudal thoughts, that is, anti-feudal orthodox thoughts, so Zhi Yanzhai will rate it as "extremely vulgar".
This couplet is Cao Xueqin's evaluation of Wang Xifeng. She manages Jia's family affairs, both inside and outside. She can't manage the affairs of that big family without shrewd mind, smooth means, provocative personality, broad vision, rich knowledge and ability to grasp the scale of things. "The world is cold" embodies a kind of maturity and intelligence, and "the way of the world" highlights age and skills. In this "relational" society, Tao has ascended to heaven, but Tao has failed to help.
