SR-7 1 Blackbird is a long-range strategic reconnaissance aircraft with triple sound speed launched by Lockheed Company of the United States in 1960s. 1966 officially entered the service, and 1998 retired.
As far as it is concerned, the aircraft adopts many advanced technologies, not only the aircraft designed with low detectability technology, but also can avoid enemy planes and anti-aircraft missiles at high speed of Mach 3.
Birth background
SR-7 1 Blackbird Reconnaissance Aircraft made its first flight on February 22nd, 1964, and then entered the 4200th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing (later renamed the 9th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing) of New Bill Air Force Base in California on June 20th, 1966.
19901On October 26th, the U.S. Air Force retired the SR-7 1 Blackbird reconnaissance plane, but reorganized it into the army in 1995 and launched its mission in 1997.
This aircraft is the fastest type of manned military aircraft in the world and holds two records:1On July 28th, 976, a SR-7 1 Blackbird reconnaissance plane set a speed record of 3,529.56 kilometers per hour and an altitude record of 25,929 meters. In actual combat records, not one SR-7 1 Blackbird reconnaissance plane was shot down.
major feature
In order to reduce the cost, the SR-7 1 Blackbird reconnaissance plane uses titanium alloy which can be softened at lower temperature and processed more easily. Usually, the plane will be painted dark blue (close to black) to enhance the cooling and camouflage effect of high-altitude thermal radiation.
The main part of the skin inside the main wing is actually wrinkled. Thermal expansion will tear or curl the smooth skin, wrinkle the skin, and make it stretch in the vertical direction to avoid excessive stress and enhance the longitudinal strength.
Computational performance
Even though SR-7 1 Blackbird reconnaissance plane adopts many stealth technologies, it does not actually have complete stealth function because of its huge infrared characteristics when flying at high speed. However, depending on the ultra-high speed, the SR-7 1 Blackbird reconnaissance plane successfully got rid of thousands of targeted attacks, most of which came from Soviet aircraft and air-to-air missiles.
