extending the "three-self" education of reading theory counselors
We often advocate self-education, self-management and self-service with students. The so-called self is the inner self, the undisguised and authentic self. The temple of Delphi in Greece is engraved with Socrates' inscription-know yourself. Socrates believes that knowing oneself is the inner principle of knowing the mind, that is, knowing virtue, that is, human nature. Only when a person truly knows himself can he realize his own nature, complete his own mission and become a virtuous person. This is also the source of Socrates' famous saying that "an unexamined life is not worth living". The ancients were great wisdom, and Su advocated "the unity of knowledge and morality", which is exactly the same as that advocated by Confucianism. From this point of view, we can get that we advocate students to carry out "three-self" education, and its origin also lies in the counselors' own practice of "three-self" education.
1. Self-education
Let's not talk about theory here, nor talk in general terms. In my opinion, the so-called self-education of counselors mainly lies in their self-learning. Today, many counselors lack self-learning ability. Secondly, most counselors learn from training and reporting, which are incoherent, unsystematic and lack of endogenous motivation. They are born lame and have serious defects. In my opinion, a person's real growth comes from self-study ability, which is an active and positive learning type or learning state starting from self, heart and origin, just like a counselor's active work and passive work, the effect is completely different. People who really have the ability to learn by themselves, and this ability is becoming more and more mature, the energy that erupts will be endless and surging like the power of a nuclear bomb explosion. Today, to really do a good job in student work, counselors need to learn a lot, the most important of which is, of course, the improvement of their own theoretical literacy. Talking about theoretical literacy does not mean writing academic articles with high theoretical level, but that counselors work with two nuclear weapons, one of which is to convince people with reason, and you have "reason" in your heart, so that you can really convince and enlighten students. Counselors' work is backed by the discipline of ideological and political education, and the discipline of ideological and political education is backed by Marxism-Leninism. Therefore, counselors must work hard in this respect in order to improve their theoretical literacy. In short, there is no other way. No matter what major you graduated from before and entered the "counselor" door, you have to work as a "counselor". Otherwise, there will be no place for you to work as a counselor in the future.
II. Self-management
The most important thing for counselors' self-management is time management. As for time management, I once "studied" for a period of time. I am a bit "abnormal". As long as I am interested in the field, I tend to immerse myself in "wandering". The so-called "wandering" means buying a bunch of related books to read. When I first read books on time management, my mind was wide open and I sighed frequently. These people are really awesome to understand these things. Slowly, later, perhaps they grew up and found that the so-called time management is actually a tool. Why do you serve? I can't explain this to you clearly. It is up to you to understand it yourself. Practice is the best way. What impressed me the most was Lyubyshev in A Strange Life. He completed a great deal of works in his life, and his mastery of time was amazing. Time has completely become his friend, or his tool for completing surrender. Later, he can basically accurately predict how much time it will take to do a thing without looking at his watch. For time management, in my opinion, counselors should make full use of fragmented time, and don't want to be a fat man at first. Rome wasn't built in a day. For example, when reading a book, don't immediately think when you see a book, damn it, it will take years to finish reading it. Think about it from another angle. I read 1 pages today, or 1 minutes tomorrow, and before I know it, you may destroy it in less than half a month. It's not that there is no time, but the hard part is persistence. Once you stick to it, it will become a habit, once it becomes a habit, it will become an interest. Reading can also be addictive, no different from Yin Xiangjie's brother taking drugs. One book a month, 12 books a year, and gradually accumulate. Compared with those who don't read books, your advantages will gradually stand out in the second and third years. This accumulation will gradually change from quantitative to qualitative, and one day it will explode like the nuclear bomb I mentioned above, even you will feel incredible.
Third, self-service
The so-called self-service is to serve yourself and achieve your goals and values through your own efforts. For counselors, I think it is to practice one and two, that is, to serve self-education and self-management well. Manage your own time beyond eight hours. There is too much work. If there is no time beyond eight hours, it is to manage the fragmentation time. This is an irrefutable truth. Old Einstein said long ago that the difference between people lies in their spare time. Persistence is the most important thing. If a person can really persist in one thing, he will not be too far away from the so-called success.
Before, many counselors asked questions about methods. In fact, all the methods in the world are known to everyone, but some people did it, some people didn't do it, some people did it seriously, and some people perfunctory it. Actually, learning is not the same as not learning, and serious learning is not the same as perfunctory learning. Don't look around, think about it, lower your head and sink your heart, as long as you start, it's never too late!
