The ancients said that "calligraphy takes the pen first". Qigong spent a lot of time and energy practicing writing, thinking about it one by one, and there was no difference in post scores. But the written words look ok in the plain, and they are lost when hung up. After much deliberation, he found that the problem lies in the "structure" of the word. Qi Gong found many famous inscriptions and Buddhist scriptures in the Tang Dynasty. He enlarged these words one by one with transparent square paper and painted them with great concentration. Finally, he found the law of writing from the stroke structure of famous calligraphy. This very common rule is extremely difficult to find. Generally speaking, people learn calligraphy by writing "Jiugongge" or "Mi Zige" and dividing a square into several equal parts. Qi Gong found that the problem lies in this "equal division". The reason is very simple, because the "center of gravity" of each word is not necessarily in the "center", so we can't divide each word into three parts of a pattern. So he adopted a division method that is more in line with the glyph structure, that is, his first "five to three five" unequal division method. This glyph has a large up, down, left and right component and a small middle component, instead of "nine divisions" like "nine squares".
Qigong is practicing calligraphy for a long time on the basis of this unequal score of "535". After repeated research, he found that the structure of Chinese characters has the law of "tight first and then loose, tight left and loose right, tight inside and loose outside", so he can't believe the traditional saying that Chinese characters should be "horizontal and vertical" In fact, both flatness and straightness change, otherwise the written words will be completely dull and stupid. The difference between "likeness" and "spirit likeness" is rooted in the structure of Chinese characters. If the word structure is not good, no matter how wonderful the pen is, it will not help. The so-called "have answers" means that when you write, you must first have the "skeleton structure" of the word in your heart, and when you write, you will have a bottom in your heart and a god in your pen. Qi Gong believes that as long as the structure is well written and looks good, writing is ok. You can take the pen as you like and use it as you like. Even if you write a few words every day, it is kung fu to write the structure of the words accurately. "535" asymmetrical structure font is his original "regular script" calligraphy.
During the ten-year catastrophe of the "Cultural Revolution", Qi Gong was not qualified to post posters, but he was obliged to copy them. First, he was asked to copy the poster of the rebel. Because qigong is well written, let him copy all kinds of "combat team" posters. Sometimes time is short, the rebel side directly sticks white paper on the wall of the Xipeng, and orders him to stand facing the wall of the Xipeng and write directly. After spending so much time for several years, he actually practiced the unique skill of "standing posture" and put down his pen. Later, when Qi Gong's calligraphy was well-known at home and abroad and became a rare "national treasure", there was an upsurge in Beijing Normal University to find "big-character posters" and "small-character posters" copied by Qi Lao during the Cultural Revolution.
