What are the potential meanings of the text?
Traditional Chinese reading teaching often only recognizes the simplification, politicization and conceptualization of text meaning, and separates and abstracts the rich and unified text meaning into many simple concepts. This kind of interpretation thought not only can't deeply understand and grasp the rich meaning of the text, but also greatly stifles students' innovative thinking. Therefore, abandoning this rigid interpretation mode and exploring new interpretation concepts in Chinese reading teaching will not only improve the quality and efficiency of Chinese reading activities, but also adapt to the development and requirements of the times and cultivate students' innovative thinking. Modern hermeneutics holds that: "Although the text has meaning, it is only a potential meaning, and the meaning can only be revealed through readers' reading. Readers' reading is not passive, but actively participates in the construction of meaning, injecting their subjective understanding into the text and making it a part of the meaning of the text. " It can be seen that the potential meaning of the text is the prerequisite for readers to realize the meaning when reading, and the ultimate realization of the meaning depends on readers' reading. From the creative point of view, many famous sayings provide readers with a broad space for free interpretation by relying on the tension of the text itself and the charm of the language, thus making the works get rid of the "original intention" and transcend time and space. Literary language is characterized by fuzziness, and the "uncertainty" and "blank point" or "undetermined point" of a work urge readers to participate in the composition of the meaning of the work. Therefore, in teaching, teachers can't require students' understanding to be unique, and the interpretation of the text should be diversified and personalized.
