Buddhists pay attention to letting go, being empty, and so on, while Zen pays more attention to the practical spirit and enlightenment. Tang's monk and his disciples went through all kinds of hardships to seek scriptures, which is also a kind of practice. They should learn Buddhism from it, but he still kept the Zijin bowl in his body. Zijin Bowl is a gift from the Tang Dynasty, a symbol of power, wealth and status. In this way, it is not in line with the Buddhist thought of letting go and everything is empty. Jia Ye and Ananda asked for it as a reminder, but they didn't directly explain that it was actually for Sanzang to enlighten himself. This way of reminding is in line with the practice of Zen.
