Yingcheng has a long history and an ancient civilization, and is known as the salt sea of China. Since the Southern Dynasties-the first year of Xiaowu (AD 454), the county seat was named because it was strategically located and should be guarded by the city. 1On May 27th, 986, the State Council approved the withdrawal of counties and the establishment of cities. The excavation and excavation of China New Age sites such as Menwan and Si Long River show the long cultural history of Yingcheng for more than 5,000 years. The sites such as Taojiahu ancient city, Pusao ancient city, Xihe ancient crossing, Confucius Temple in Song Dynasty, Jade Girl Tangquan and Yima Wenfeng are historical witnesses of Yingcheng ancient civilization.

Yingcheng is located in the east of central Hubei Province, with a land area of 1 105 square kilometers and a population of 680,000.
