After 1940, it was called Luxun College of Art and Literature for short. Lu Xun Art College should train a group of literary and art workers with lofty ideals, rich experience in struggle and good artistic skills. Without any of these three conditions, one cannot become a great artist. Mao Zedong also wrote the school motto for Lu Yi: Nervousness, Earnestness, Diligence and Modesty, and wrote the inscription "Realism and Revolutionary Romanticism Against Japan".
