I remember it was the first semester of senior one. All day long, I think I have enough knowledge and am much better than other students. The idea of being too complacent pains me. It was a sudden math exam, because I was too proud to go all out on the test paper, and the measured result surprised me, 74 points! After passing this exam, I am no longer complacent. When the second math exam came, I was immersed in studying hard. I finished the test paper carefully for every question. In order not to get disappointing scores like last time, I checked it meticulously after I finished it. Finally, heaven rewards hard work, and my grades suddenly rose from passing to excellent!
Sure enough, modesty makes people progress, pride makes people lag behind, and people can make progress only if they are modest and not proud, from learning to making contributions to society. We must have a modest heart in order to make continuous progress.
