1. Optimistic Helen Keller
Helen Keller is a famous American writer and educator. In 1882, when she was more than one year old, she suffered brain damage due to a high fever. From then on, she could not see with her eyes, could not hear with her ears, and later, she could not even speak. She grew up groping in the dark.
When she was seven years old, her family hired a tutor for her, Teacher Sullivan, who influenced Helen's life. Sullivan nearly went blind as a child and knows the pain of losing sight. Under her painstaking guidance, Helen learned sign language by touching her hands, learned to read by touching Braille cards, and later learned to speak by touching other people's lips with her hands.
2. Zhang Haidi
In 1970, when she was 15 years old, she followed her parents to live in the countryside. In the countryside, she always thinks about others and does things for the people. She found that there were no music teachers in primary schools, so she took the initiative to teach singing at the school.
She has read "Acupuncture", "Human Anatomy", "Internal Medicine", "Practical Pediatrics" and other medical books. When learning acupuncture, she repeatedly practiced acupuncture on herself in order to experience the sensation of needles.
In just a few years, she actually became a young "famous doctor" in the local area, treating more than 10,000 people for free. There was an uncle Geng who could not speak and had been paralyzed for many years and had not been cured.
While Zhang Haidi mentally encouraged Uncle Geng to increase his confidence in overcoming the disease, he read a lot of books and carefully treated Uncle Geng. Later, Uncle Geng was finally able to speak and walk.
3. Edison
A fire burned the laboratory to rubble. All of Edison's research materials and samples of sound films were burned to ashes. His wife was so sad that she cried: "Years of hard work have been burned up in a fire. Now that you are old and weak, what can you do?" Edison was also very sad, but he would never let it go. Down.
When he invented the electric light, he tested more than 7,600 materials and failed more than 8,000 times. He was still not discouraged and finally succeeded. The current fire also could not make him retreat. Edison said to his wife: "It doesn't matter, even though I am 67 years old, I am not old. From tomorrow morning, everything will start again."
