Mulan Hua Ling·An ancient decisive word (if life is just like the first meeting)
If life is only like the first meeting, why is the autumn wind sad and painted on the fan. It is easy to change old people's hearts, but it is easy to change old people's hearts.
Lishan’s words are gone till midnight, and the tears and rain are still ringing, but I still don’t complain. How unlucky is the man in brocade to wish for the same day with wings and branches.
Happiness and excitement often come from not seeking deeper understanding, which is understandable.
For example, there is a saying that we often use to encourage ourselves: "Be true to your words and be resolute in your actions." We think this is the spirit of a gentleman. The ancients really taught us a very important philosophy of life. --These two sentences are indeed Confucius' famous sayings, but in "The Analects", the original text also contains the second half of the sentence: "Words must be true, actions must be resolute, and you are a villain." If you read further: " "It can also be the next best thing." This means: Although these people who always keep their word and act resolutely are not very good people, they are not too bad, and they are just okay.
Now, the most famous song "Magnolia Order" by Rong Ruo also has a similar situation.
"If life is only like the first time we meet", if we only read the most touching first sentence, we will definitely think that this is a love poem, and we will definitely copy this sentence in our hearts as an eternal poem. And eternal love motto. The charm of Rongruo's words lies in the fact that he writes a universal feeling in the world of love directly to people's hearts, although this may not be his original intention.
Let’s start with the word question.
The title of the poem "imitating ancient poems" first points out that this poem is "imitating ancient poems", which means: I will write a poem imitating the style and theme of ancient poems.
Imitation of ancient times is a common way of writing among poets, usually imitating ancient Yuefu. Rongruo’s "juejueci", which is an imitation of ancient times, can be seen in "Baitou Yin" cited in "Song Book·Le Zhi": "Clear as the clouds on the mountain, as bright as the moon between the clouds. I heard that you had two opinions, so I came to make a decision." It means: My heart is clear and bright. I heard that you are stepping on two boats now, so I want to Come and make a clean break with you. --Pay attention to this theme: "Broken Friendship". This is not a lingering love, but a decisive breakup.
Later generations came to "draw" this decisive word, the most famous of which is Yuan Zhen's set of three "Xianghe Song Ci·Jue Ci":
Zha Ke is a morning glory in the sky Vega does not want to be the red hibiscus in front of the court.
We met each other on July 7th, so our hearts will never waver.
It can fly towards Kaimu, blowing east, west, north and south.
We can't help each other, and we can't help but miss each other.
The opposite side is like this, how can we know the back side?
The spring breeze stirs up the shrike's language, but it is better to throw it away at this time.
He shook hands and asked, but did not say anything about the future.
The king's love has been resolved, but the concubine's feelings have become mixed.
Borrowing is like separation between life and death, peace and sorrow will last forever.
Hey! The spring ice is about to collapse, so why should I have a single knot in my arms?
There is a beautiful person in Yan Kuang.
One day without seeing each other is better than one day in three years, even more so three years of separation.
The water is only slightly rippled by the wind, and the bamboo shoots are in bud but no longer visible.
The peaches and plums are blooming in spring, and everyone is climbing and breaking them.
I care about myself as leisurely as a cloud, and I can protect you as bright as snow.
I feel the clarity of the broken mirror and see the remaining blood behind the tears.
Fortunately, I am not the first to take advantage of others, and I am able to make sure that others are not the first to take advantage of me.
That’s it. Weaver Girl bid farewell to Huang Gu. We meet briefly once a year. We are separated by the river.
We sleep in each other's arms every night, still deeply entangled in our love.
That's a year's work, and it takes a long night to talk about it.
But I have been longing for each other for a long time, so there is no time to enjoy each other temporarily.
Hongqiao is completed at night, and dragons invade the morning column. Verse 62: Magnolia Flower Order·Ancient Juejue Ci (2)
I hate the wild magpie for returning late, and I hate the rooster for knowing the season.
The dawn gradually fades, and the Chinese star shines and fades.
One year after another, when will the year be complete?
With this long period of separation, it would be better to say goodbye through life and death.
If God is jealous of each other, why not teach him to stop it.
The first poem is cruel: lovers should imitate the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl. Although they often don’t meet each other, they will stay together forever; don’t imitate the red hibiscus in the courtyard. It was blooming beautifully in the morning, but in the evening the east wind blew it from north to south and east to west. When we were together, we didn’t long for each other, and we didn’t miss each other much after we were separated. This is true face to face, but who knows what will happen back to back? It's better to cut it off in two parts, so as not to suffer the consequences.
The second poem is shamelessly written: That beauty is so stunningly beautiful that one day between me and her is like three years apart, let alone three years apart. The phrase "clear as clouds on the mountain, as bright as the moon among the clouds" is used below: I ask myself that you are as pure as white clouds, but who knows if you have been as pure as white snow in these three years? I am glad that I am the first man in your life, but I am really not sure whether I will also be the last man in your life. We have been separated for too long, just like the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl meet once a year. Although we were happy on the day we met, it can be seen that during the three hundred and sixty-four days we did not see each other, separated by such a wide river, who knew each other? What have you done?
The third poem is ruthlessly written: Even if a man and a woman sleep together every night, there are still many secrets deep in their hearts. Like the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl, who only sleep one night a year, how can they keep talking for a long time? What about all the things that happened this year? Rather than just doing this once a year, it would be better to just cut it off once and for all.
When we read Yuan Zhen’s mourning poems, it is inevitable that we will not be moved by his deep affection. But when we read these three poems, we only feel that in addition to being ruthless and unfeeling, he also has a villainous face. There is something behind this poem, which is a love affair between Yuan Zhen (Zhang Sheng) and Shuang Wen (Cui Yingying) that started in turmoil and ended in abandonment. Yuan Zhen said solemnly: "It's all that vixen's fault!"
The above is the appearance of "Gu Jue Jue Ci" from its source to the ancient times.
So, Rong Ruo, this passionate seed, suddenly came up with such a "Nimetic Ancient Jue Ci", what is he doing? Which woman did he break up with so resolutely?
You know that I have a husband, so you give me a pair of pearls.
I feel your lingering affection, tied in a red lining.
The high-rise buildings of my concubine’s house are connected to the garden, and my beloved man is holding a halberd in the bright light.
I know that my heart is like the sun and the moon, and my husband's oath is as important as life and death.
Huanjun Mingzhu sheds tears, wishing we had met before she was married. Section 63: Magnolia Flower Order·Ancient Juejue Ci (3)
This is a famous poem by Zhang Ji in the Tang Dynasty. Its technique also imitates ancient times and Han Yuefu. The whole poem is a woman's confession to a man: You know that I have a husband, but you still gave me a pair of pearls. I was so moved by your kindness that I tied the pearl on my clothes. However, my family is not a small family, and my husband is not a trafficker. Although I know that you are good to me, I vow to live and die with my husband. I'd better return the pearl to you, I just regret that we met too late! --The last line, "Returning the king's pearls with tears, wishing we could meet again before we were married" has been passed down as a famous line through the ages. However, this poem is about the love between men and women, but in fact it has nothing to do with the love between men and women.
The title of this poem is "Yan of a chaste woman, sent to Li Sikong Shidao in Dongping". At that time, Li Shidao in the feudal town was caged in people everywhere, and gradually became a rival to the central government. Zhang Ji was also a celebrity, and he was also Therefore, Zhang Ji wrote this poem as a polite rejection of Li Shidao, using the tone of a chaste woman to express his feelings: I appreciate your kindness, but I will follow the central government for the rest of my life. --This is an important tradition in poetry since "Li Sao": using the love affairs between men and women to express different feelings.
So, those who write about men and women in poetry may not really be about men and women, those who write about flowers and plants may not really be about flowers and plants, and those who write about beautiful women may not really be about beautiful women. This is the "Beauty Vanilla" in "Li Sao" "The tradition of softening rigid things, softening hard things, and bending straight things, and using a technique rich in aesthetic meaning to express content that does not contain much aesthetic meaning.
So, having said that, Rongruo's song "If Life Is Just Like the First Meeting" is not necessarily about the love affair between men and women.
The title of the poem is "Ancient Juejue Ci". Some versions have two words at the end: "Cambodian Friend". This means that this poem is used to tell a friend about the love affair between a man and a woman: Let's break up the relationship!
This poem seems to be as clear as words, but in fact it uses allusions closely. "If life is just like the first time we met, why would the autumn wind be so sad?" The autumn wind painted fan is an image symbol in the poem - the fan is used in summer. When the autumn wind blows, what will happen to the fan? When the Han Dynasty became emperor, Ban Jieyu was neglected. In the desolate situation, she used a round fan to describe herself, and wrote a "Song of Resentment":
The newly cracked Qi Wan Su is as bright as frost and snow.
Cut it into an acacia fan, which looks like a bright moon.
Going in and out of your sleeves, shaking in the breeze.
I am often afraid that when autumn comes, the coolness will overtake the heat.
Abandon the donation box and put it in the basket, and the kindness will be eliminated.
The fan is made of fine material, like frost and snow, and shaped like a full moon. It has dual images of brightness and reunion. "In and out of your arms" is inseparable, but autumn will come eventually. Wait for the autumn wind to come together. No matter how good the fan is, it will be thrown aside. --This is where the origin of the autumn wind painting fan comes from. "If life is just as beautiful as the first time we met, why is the autumn wind so sad and painted on the fan?" If the relationship between people is always as beautiful as the first time we met, it is like the round fan is always the same as the moment when I held it in my hand in early summer.
Section 64: Mulan Flower Order·Ancient Juejue Ci (4)
Generally famous poems are always in pairs, such as "If you want to see a thousand miles away, go to the next level." , such as "Who has never died in life since ancient times, leaving a loyal heart to illuminate the history", or such as "The solitary smoke is straight in the desert, the long river is in the sunset garden", but Rongruo's sentence is spread in a single sentence, probably because "If life is only like the first sight" is popular However, "What's the Sad Painting Fan in the Autumn Wind" instead uses allusions. This allusion is not a popular allusion, so it has the fate of being circulated as a single sentence. In fact, "If life is just like the first time we met" and "What's the sad autumn wind painting the fan" are the same sentence structure of "if...then...". When viewed together, the tone and meaning are complete.
The following two sentences "It is easy to change the heart of an old friend, but it is easy to change the heart of an old friend." Some versions are written as "the heart of an old friend", and some versions are written as "the heart of an old friend". The origin of this difference is, It depends on whether you read the usage in these two sentences. Yes, these two sentences seem to be vernacular, but they are actually allusions. The source is in Xie Zao's "Recording Grudges with the King's Master":
Yeting's appointment was cut off from the country, and Changmen's banquet was ruined.
When we meet, we chant Tumi, and when we say goodbye to favors, we fan each other sadly.
There are countless butterflies in the flowers, and there are two swallows in the wind curtain.
The disciples bring spring with credit, but sit back and cherish the change of beauty.
One thing in life is worth a lot of money.
My heart will last forever, my heart will never be seen.
Xie Tao's poem also expresses her feelings through the grievances of her friends. It also uses the allusion of "Sad Tuan Fan", which is the story of Ban Jieyu just told before. The last two lines of Xie Tao's poem "The old heart will last forever, and the old heart will never be seen". There is also a version of "old heart", and later it was basically determined to be "the old heart". This is exactly what Rong Ruo said when he "easily changes the old heart." Therefore, the origin of the phrase "people's hearts change easily". The difference in meaning between the two versions is not very big. It roughly means that your old friend changed his mind easily, but instead said that I changed too quickly. Of course, other explanations can be given, but generally they are the same. It still revolves around this meaning.
The allusion will continue in the next film, "Lishan language will last until midnight, and the tears will rain and the bell will not complain." This is the story of Emperor Ming of the Tang Dynasty and Concubine Yang.
"On July 7th, when no one is whispering in the Hall of Eternal Life in the middle of the night," this Hall of Eternal Life is located in the Huaqing Palace in Lishan Mountain. This is the "Lishan language ends at midnight". Later, after Maweipo happened, Emperor Ming of the Tang Dynasty entered Shu. During the rainy season, Emperor Ming of the Tang Dynasty heard the bell in the rain on the plank road at night. He had mixed feelings and composed the tune "Yulin Bell" based on the sound to express his deep thoughts. --This is also the origin of the lyrics of "Yulin Ling", which is Liu Yong's famous poem "Cicada's Sorrow".
"How can I wish for you to be a man in rich clothes?" The "man of good luck to me is to make my wish that day". The "man of good luck and beautiful clothes" here still refers to Emperor Ming of the Tang Dynasty. It was said at that time, "In the sky, I would like to be a winged bird, and on the earth, I would like to be a branch." Bai Juyi somehow eavesdropped on the love talk between the "first couple" in the palace at midnight, and later generations had more such a love allusion. Rongruo's meaning should be: Although the old friend has changed his mind and it is difficult to be the same again, at least we had a friendship in the past. --Comparing the old friendship with each other and the change of heart between old friends now, there seems to be pain and blame.
But we still can't tell whether Qing Rongruo's poem is truly capable or just a general statement. Maybe it was a farewell message from an old friend of his, or maybe it was just a general discussion on how to make friends, it's hard to say. But the former is more likely to be believed by using Rong Ruo as a lyric to express one's spiritual nature.
If this poem is interpreted as a love story, it seems to be written in a simple and straightforward way; if it is interpreted according to the title of the poem, it is actually gentle and implicit, resentful but not angry, which is exactly the meaning of "a gentleman breaks off friendship without making a bad sound" "The style of a taxi scholar. --This explanation may destroy the beauty of love that some people originally had in their hearts, but it doesn't matter. Haven't I mentioned several times before that poets have always had the tradition of "taking quotes out of context" and "using them for my own use"? So, inherit and carry it forward.
