The Asian Games, referred to as the Asian Games for short, is a large-scale comprehensive sports meeting hosted by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) with the largest number of sports events and the largest number of participating countries and regions in Asia. Up to now, it has held 18 sessions, and each session has attracted thousands of athletes from Asian countries and regions.
By 2022, 45 member countries and regions will participate in the Asian Games, including Afghanistan, Pakistan, China, Japan, India, South Korea and Saudi Arabia. Sports mainly include track and field, swimming, badminton, basketball, football, table tennis, shooting, gymnastics, boxing, weightlifting and so on. In addition, non-sports activities such as the Jakarta Political Conference will be held.
19 Asian Games was announced by the OCA on July 9, 2022, and will be held in Hangzhou from September 23 to June 8, 2023, with the same name and logo.
The significance of hosting the Asian Games:
1. Enhance exchanges and understanding among Asian countries. The Asian Games provided a good opportunity for countries to communicate and compete. Elite and mass athletes from various countries can contact, communicate and compete with each other and enjoy each other's cultural performances and exhibitions.
