1. I, Tathagata, am just a guide.

2. If a Bodhisattva has the appearance of me, the appearance of a person, the appearance of living beings, or the appearance of a person with a long life, then it is not a Bodhisattva.

3. All appearances are false. If you see all appearances but no appearance, you will see the Tathagata.

4. The past is inaccessible. It's unattainable now. The future is unattainable.

5. If you see me with my form and pray to me with my voice, you are on a wrong path and cannot see the Tathagata.

6. All conditioned methods. Like a dream bubble. Like dew and like electricity. This should be viewed as such.

17. Fate is created by oneself, appearance is born from the heart, everything in the world is transformed into appearance, if the heart does not move, everything will not move, if the heart does not change, everything will not change.

18. Great sadness has no tears, great enlightenment has no words, and laughter has no sound.

19. You should know that all sentient beings have come from beginningless time and have been born and died continuously. They are all caused by not knowing the pure and bright body of the permanent true nature of the mind, and using all kinds of delusional thoughts. This thought is not true, so there is reincarnation.

20. But if you are free from delusion, you will be like a Buddha.

21. If you want to seek Buddha but seek the heart, only this heart is the Buddha.

22. I am the only one in heaven and under heaven. Be at ease with yourself and keep your true heart.

23. If you can recognize your original mind, practice it carefully and never dwell on it, you will see the Buddha nature.

24. Hundreds and thousands of Dharma doors all end up in the same square inch. The wonderful Dharma in the sand of a river always comes from the source of the heart.

25. The mind that does not abide in any place is the Buddha mind.

He throws himself into the mud and drowns himself, so he is called an ordinary person. If you can see through this door, you will emerge from the earthly world.

32. If you feel lust after seeing something, you should repay it to your wife and daughter.

33. If you want to know the cause of the past life, the recipient of this life is; if you want to know the result of the next life, the author of this life is.

34. If you are a Taoist, you must avoid fire when it comes. When Taoists see desires, they must stay away from them.

35. People are worried from love, and fear is born from worry. If they are separated from love, there is no need to worry or fear.

36. Living beings regard ten things as good, and they also regard ten things as evil. What are the ten? Three of the body, four of the mouth, and three of the mind. The three of the body are: killing, stealing, and sexual intercourse. The four of the mouth are: Two tongues, harsh words, false talk, and idle talk. Three thoughts: jealousy, hatred, and ignorance. Such ten things that are not in accordance with the holy path are called the ten evil deeds; if these evils are stopped, they are called the ten good deeds.

37. Form is not different from emptiness, and emptiness is not different from color. Color is emptiness, emptiness is color, and the same is true for feelings, thoughts, and consciousness.

38. All dharmas are empty, neither born nor destroyed, neither dirty nor pure, neither increasing nor decreasing.

39. Feeling bright and quiet, like a clear sky.

40. Why do you have to be ruthless in this life? Good things will eventually lead to tiredness.

41. From the heart, all kinds of dharmas arise; from the dharma, all kinds of hearts arise.

42. It is a big lie to say something without testimonials or words.

43. Even if you have heard a lot, if you don’t practice it, it is like not hearing anything, just like a person who talks about eating, but he will never be full.
