Liu Bang’s famous sayings are as follows:
1. Sigh, this is what a real man should do!
What Liu Bang said when he saw the grand scene of Qin Shihuang's tour. Although it praises Qin Shihuang, it actually reflects Liu Bang's desire for the aristocratic life and imperial power of the upper class as a lower-class pariah, and reflects Liu Bang's desire to pursue power.
2. There is a lot of grain in the warehouse, but it is not a shortage, and I don’t want to waste money on people.
From "Historical Records: The Benji of Emperor Gaozu" by Sima Qian of the Han Dynasty, after Liu Bang entered Xianyang, he made an agreement in three chapters. The people of Qin were overjoyed and argued over cattle and sheep, wine and food as a feast for the soldiers, but Liu Bang refused and said this. In this way, people were happy again, and they finally eliminated their doubts and wariness about Liu Bang. The general idea is: There is a lot of food in the warehouse, there is no shortage, and I don’t want everyone to spend money.
3. The wanderer is sad for his hometown. Although I am all in Guanzhong, my soul is still happy and thoughtful after long live.
These four sentences are touching; especially when Liu Bang knew that his days were numbered (the emperor died half a year later), they seemed particularly sincere. Liu Bang's greatest ability is that he is inseparable from the world; he is a genius who is very different from ordinary people, but he is the best at getting along with ordinary people. Therefore, he can achieve great things, so he can conquer the bright and glorious world of the Han Dynasty.
4. The Hungarians in the world have been fighting hard for several years, and their success or failure is unknown. How can they govern the palace excessively?
From "Historical Records·The Benji of Emperor Gaozu". The world is in chaos, the situation is uncertain, and after so many years of hard work, it is still unclear whether it will succeed or fail. Why should we build such a luxurious palace now?
Life of Liu Bang
According to records, the Liu family originated from Emperor Yao, one of the three emperors and five emperors. Emperor Yao's eldest son Jianming was granted the title of "Liu" (now Tang County, Hebei Province). When Ming Dynasty died early in the morning, his son Shi succeeded him and took Juyi as his surname. It was passed down to Liu Lei in the Xia Dynasty, and then to Shihui Shiqin.
Returned to the Jin Dynasty, one of his sons stayed in the Qin Dynasty and restored the Liu family. Later, during the Warring States Period, he was captured by the Wei Dynasty and became a Wei official. The Wei State moved its capital from Anyi to Daliang. Liu Qing (Liu Bang's great-grandfather) was born. Liu Qing gave birth to Liu Ren, and Liu Ren moved to Fengyi. The Liu family moved to Fengyi during this period (see the "Relationships" directory for details).
Although Liu Bang's grandfather was the Duke of Fengyi (Fengyi County Order) of Wei State, the world was in turmoil at that time and the society was undergoing great changes. By the generation of Liu Bang's father's generation, the Liu family was no longer a commoner who was engaged in agricultural production.
