My hometown is Wanjia, a poor mountain village. After reform and opening up, especially the construction in the past ten years or so, the appearance of my hometown has undergone earth-shaking changes, which is eye-catching and gratifying.
“If you want to get rich, build roads first.” This is the common sentiment of the people in my hometown. In the past, there was no decent road in our rural areas. The narrow paths are full of potholes and thorns. If it rains, the narrow muddy path will be difficult to walk on. Although there are "idyllic" rural characteristics, the reality of travel difficulties has restricted the economic development of my hometown. So the villagers discussed and decided to build the road.
As the saying goes, "When people unite, Mount Tai will move." This is indeed true. After the joint efforts of the villagers, it didn’t take long for a spacious, flat cement road to be finally born in the impoverished mountain village. On the day it was opened to traffic, the villagers rushed to tell each other, beaming with joy, saying: This is a road to wealth. It has changed the history of their hometown and changed people's way of life. Yes, now people no longer have to worry about traveling.
In the past, my hometown was very poor and the conditions were not good. Many children had difficulty going to school. Teaching facilities are poor and teaching resources are lacking. Nowadays, our primary and secondary schools have built teaching buildings, student dormitories, and student cafeterias. The schools have computer rooms, reading rooms, and multimedia classrooms. Recently, they have also built new sports fields and added new sports equipment. What makes people even happier is that now our students no longer have to pay tuition fees to go to school. Students from poor families can also enjoy living subsidies provided by the government. Now children in their hometown can enjoy advanced teaching resources and receive a good education just like children in the city.
In order to change the environment in their hometown, people in their hometown are greening barren hills and planting trees to benefit future generations. Now the barren hills are green, economic conditions are improving, and people's awareness of environmental protection is getting stronger and stronger. No, the villagers are building a biogas digester.
Over the years, the look of my hometown has taken on a completely new look. The electricity has been turned on, the roads have been improved, and the Tuba walls and slates have been turned into buildings with reinforced concrete structures. People are happy and happy. An old man with gray hair and a childlike face said to me: "Now our life is like sesame seeds blooming steadily, thanks to the blessing of the Party!"
I think, in ten or twenty years... , the changes in my hometown will surely be more rapid, and a peaceful, happy, and harmonious new countryside will surely rise happily on this barren land.
I firmly believe that my hometown will have a better tomorrow!
