Chongde Palace is located at No.91Hongqi Road, pingdu city. Chongde Palace in Qing Dynasty is commonly known as "Laozi Temple", and the date of its construction is unknown. According to the inscription "This Palace precedes this city" unearthed in the palace, it is inferred that it should be built at the end of Han Dynasty, and later generations have repaired it many times. At present, the main building was built in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, covering an area of 2,078 square meters, with five halls. It is a mountain building with a building area of 20 1 square meter. The original statue of Laozi in the temple was destroyed before liberation and is now the showroom of pingdu city Museum. In the courtyard, the pavilion was moved to the home of Peng Shouxin, a former general of the Republic of China. There are dozens of antique stone tablets, stone reliefs embedded in the Han Dynasty and epitaphs carved in past dynasties. Chongde Palace is an ancient building in pingdu city, which has extremely important reference value for studying the historical changes of pingdu city.
