1. Who knows about the four-line ancient poem about ideals?
Li Bai's "Song of the Past"
It is snowing in the mountains in May, but there are no flowers, only cold.
I heard the broken willows in the flute, but I have never seen the spring scenery.
Fight with the golden drum at dawn, sleep with the jade saddle in your arms at night.
I am willing to put my sword down from my waist and kill Loulan[1].
Appreciation
There are six "Songs under the Sai" in the existing collection of Li Bai's poems, all of which borrowed popular Yuefu titles from the Tang Dynasty to write about current events and his inner voice. The fourth poem among them is about a missing woman who misses the long-distance traveler, which is definitely a kind of boudoir grudge. The other five capitals express the poet's ideal of generous military service, "to be courageous in running wild, and to calm down demons in a battle." Sparse and relaxed, full of heroism, it is one of the wonders of the frontier fortress poetry in the prosperous Tang Dynasty. This poem is the first in a series of poems.
The first sentence, "It snows in the mountains in May," has already tied the title. May is the height of summer in the mainland. Han Yu said, "In May, pomegranate flowers illuminate your eyes, and you can see the beginning of growth among the branches." Zhao Gu said, "The scenery is as peaceful as spring and as pure as autumn. Shangshan is a wonderful place to visit in May." However, the fifth month written by Li Bai was under the fortress and in the Tianshan Mountains. Naturally, what he saw and felt was completely different. The Tianshan Mountains are solitary and covered with snow all year round. This huge contrast in scenery in the same season between the mainland and the fortress was keenly captured by the poet. However, he did not objectively describe it in detail, but slowly expressed his inner feelings with a light pen: "No flowers." Only cold.” The word "cold" vaguely reveals the fluctuations in the poet's mood, not to mention the desolate tune of "Breaking Willows" coming from the cold wind! Spring cannot be seen in the frontier. People can only enjoy and reminisce from the flute music. "Folding Willows" is a Yuefu horizontal blow piece, which mostly writes about the sorrow of travelers. Here, when the poet writes "hearing the broken willow", it also contains a layer of desolate and bitter mood. He used the flute to accentuate the atmosphere. Shen Deqian commented on the first four sentences of "Song Xia Qu" and said: "The four words are straight down, which has never been like this before." He also said: "One breath is straight down, and it will not be restrained." The poem has five rhymes, and according to convention, it should be the meaning of the second couplet. However, Li Bai followed the trend in the first couplet and refused to restrain his desolate mood. This broke through the shackles of metrical poetry and was characterized by his straight energy, boldness and unrestraint, and light and powerful language.
"At dawn, the battle follows the golden drum, and at night, I sleep with the jade saddle." In ancient times, gongs and drums were used to control the advancement and retreat of soldiers during expeditions. The fifth and sixth sentences describe exactly this situation. The semantic change has changed from desolate to majestic. The poet imagined that he came to the frontier fortress, at the foot of Tianshan Mountain, and lived a tense fighting life all day long. During the day, they marched and fought to the sound of gongs and drums, and at night they took a nap while hugging the saddle. Here, "dawn battle" corresponds to "night sleep", which is the author's intention to summarize a day's life in the army. The tense and urgent military situation is clearly visible on the page. The word "sui" imitates the orders and prohibitions of the soldiers. The word "hold" describes the situation of soldiers on guard at night. The second sentence describes the life scenes of the soldiers, and their mentality of guarding the border and preparing for war, everyone working bravely, and striving to be the first to achieve success is also fully revealed.
The last couplet "I am willing to put my sword down from my waist to kill Loulan" borrows the story of Fu Jiezi's generous revenge to express the poet's willingness to go to the battlefield and kill enemies for his country. The words "straight" and "wishes" echo each other, the tone is sharp and strong, and the voice of the heart bursts out, which has its own soul-stirring artistic appeal.

Why did the ancients like to write poems about ideals?
By describing one's lofty ideals, it is often to highlight one's frustration. This has a lot to do with the social background at that time. In times of war, it was not uncommon for lords to be fatuous and treacherous villains to succeed. Many poets were benevolent people who were concerned about their country and its people. Worrying about their own country but being unable to serve it was a theme that often appeared in ancient poetry.

"Ideal" by Liushahe
Ideal is a fire, lighting the extinguished lamp;
Ideal is a lamp, lighting up the road at night;
Ideal is the road that leads you to dawn.
In an era of hunger and cold, the ideal is food and clothing;
In an era of food and clothing, the ideal is civilization.
In an era of chaos, the ideal is stability;
In an era of stability, the ideal is prosperity.
Ideals are like pearls, one connected to the other.
Throughout the past and present, they are connected to the future, and their gleaming light is endless.
Beautiful pearl string, the backbone of history,
The past reflects on the present, the present reflects on the future, and the ancestors reflect on the descendants.
Ideal is a compass, guiding the ship;
Ideal is a ship, carrying you on a long journey to the sea.
But sometimes ideals are like the arc of the sea and the sky kissing each other.
It is just out of reach, torturing your enterprising heart.
Ideals make you observe life with a smile;
Ideals make you stubbornly resist fate.
Ideals make you forget your premature gray hair;
Ideals make you still naive when your hair turns gray.
Ideal is an alarm clock, crushing your golden dream;
Ideal is soap, washing away your selfish heart.
Ideal is both a kind of gain,
Ideal is also a kind of sacrifice.

The laughter in loneliness, the bitterness in laughter.
Ideals make honest people often suffer misfortunes;
Ideals make unfortunate people survive from desperate situations.
Ordinary people become great because they have ideals;
A person with ideals is a "capital person".
There are always people in the world who abandon their ideals.
Ideals never abandon anyone.
To give new life to sinners, ideal is the fairy grass that revives the soul;
To call back the prodigal son, ideal is a loving mother.
There is no need to be resentful when your ideal has been tarnished.
That is the devil testing your steadfastness.
There is no need to cry when your ideal has been stolen.
Go find it quickly and be careful in the future!
A hero loses his ideals and turns into a mediocre person.
Disgustingly boasts about his achievements;
A mediocre person loses his ideals and turns into a mediocre person.
Cursing the situation in front of him ridiculously.
If they bloom ideally, peaches and plums will bear sweet fruits;
If they sprout ideally, elms and poplars will have deep shade.
Please ride on your ideal horse and set off with a whip.
