What is the connotation of Taoist inaction described by Yi Zhongtian?
"inaction" means not doing anything that violates the laws of nature, undermines moral norms, violates social laws and is harmful to all beings. But the "inaction" here is not doing nothing, it is not inaction, but it means not acting rashly, not acting indiscriminately, conforming to the objective situation and respecting the laws of nature. Laozi said "doing nothing without doing anything", which means that nothing can be done without doing anything. Here, "inaction" is an attitude and method of standing in the world, and "doing nothing" refers to the effect of not doing anything. Lao Tzu once said, "If you do nothing, you will die", which means that nothing can be done or done badly if you treat social life with a "inaction" attitude. Therefore, the "inaction" that Laozi talked about is not passive waiting and inaction, but "doing inaction", "doing it without relying on it" and "doing it without fighting", that is, doing it with a "inaction" attitude and giving full play to people's subjective initiative.
