Yan Hui's every move, in Confucius' view, is to his liking. So Confucius often used the case of Yan Hui to educate other students.
Yan Hui, with deep words, is also called Yan Yuan.
Once, Confucius said to his students, "OK, come back!"! A spoonful of food, a spoonful of drink, in the mean lane, people can't bear their worries, and they won't change their fun when they go back. Xian zai, you come back! " Moral: Xiande, Yan Hui ate a small basket of rice and drank a ladle of water, and lived in a poor little house. No one can stand this poverty, but Yan Hui still hasn't changed his interest in Tao. Virtue, Yan Hui!
Confucius greatly appreciated Yan Hui's virtue. But what kind of personality is this? Kong Anguo said, this is "content with poverty and happy with Tao".
On another occasion, Lu Aigong asked Confucius, "Who is the best student among your more than 3,000 students?" Confucius said; "Only Yan Hui is the best to learn. If he is not angry, he will not stop. It's a pity that he will die soon! " Yan Hui loves to study. When he is angry, he can follow the trend and never shift to other things; If you make a mistake, correct it and never make it again.
Yan Hui was 29 years old with all white hair and died at the age of 40. Confucius felt very sorry for his short life.
2. How to write a wonderful composition with the theme of "being poor and being happy" and at the same time forming the virtue, wisdom philosophy and profound and complete ethics handed down from generation to generation. "Enriching oneself from poverty" is an ideal spirit in ancient China. Walking into the humble room of the great poet Liu Yuxi, we can find that the spirit of "being poor means living, and being happy means being happy" is vividly reflected in it.
You can let your thoughts gallop, tread wet moss, walk into quiet tree-lined paths, walk into "pollution-free" nature, fondle the pipa leisurely, and listen to wild cranes chanting at night. You can make friends with Qin Shu, and of course there is no secular noise to disturb your hearing. Life in Yun Zhonghe brings people back to nature.
But being content with poverty and the status quo does not mean being content with poverty. Tracing back to history, hermits are poor, living in simple rooms and surrounded by family members; Difficult to be self-sufficient, repeatedly empty; Wearing a cloth coat and even a short brown tie, I want to drink a lot, and I borrow wine to sell my troubles thousands of times ... But they can all "don't care about poverty and wealth" and would rather not bend over for five buckets of rice and go to poverty and happiness. Why? Are they greedy for the food in their hometown? Is it to enjoy the beautiful countryside? No, it's not that they don't contribute to the country, but the sorrow of that era.
3. Confucius strongly advocates that the poor and happy saints pursue the golden mean and will not be paranoid. How can he strongly advocate poverty and happiness? The teachings of saints must be loyal to human nature. Human nature likes the rich and hates the poor, so do saints. They affirm this pursuit. Confucius said, "I can seek wealth, even though I am a whipping man." The attitude is clear. But he added, "Ill-gotten wealth is as expensive as floating clouds to me." He also pursues wealth, but the premise is based on morality, that is, "a gentleman loves money and takes it wisely."
But in fact, most people are poor. In this case, Confucius believes that poverty is happiness, which is the highest realm and lifestyle of life. It is a gentleman's performance to eat humble meals but pursue the knowledge of sages wholeheartedly. Therefore, Confucius most appreciated Yan Hui, who was given a mouthful of food and a spoonful of drink. In a mean lane, people couldn't bear to worry, but they didn't change their fun when they returned, and regarded him as their successor.
In a word, Confucius appreciated helping the poor, but he did not strongly advocate helping the poor, or advocated and affirmed it to a limited extent.
4. Combining the Analects of Confucius, talk about Confucius' thought of being poor and enjoying the Tao. There are many places in the Analects of Confucius that show Confucius' thought of being poor and enjoying Tao. For example, "Yongye" recorded that Confucius said, "Xian zai Hui Ye! A spoonful of food, a spoonful of drink, in the mean lane, people can't bear their worries, and they won't change their fun when they go back. Xian Gui. " On the surface, this passage is Confucius praising Yan Hui. In fact, it was Confucius who came back to advocate the idea of caring for the poor and being happy by praising Yan. In addition, "Book of Children" records what Confucius said: "Eat less and drink more, bend your arms and rest on it, and have fun." Ill-gotten wealth and wealth are like clouds to me, which is also the embodiment of his idea of advocating poverty and happiness.
However, we should not mistakenly think that Confucius advocated poverty and happiness because of poverty. In fact, on the contrary, the living conditions of Confucius and his main disciples are mostly excellent. It is because of the superior life that thinkers like Confucius understand the importance of Tao and put forward the idea of living in poverty and enjoying Tao. Confucius said, "A gentleman can't live without food. Be sensitive to things and be careful what you say, and you are right. It can be said that it is also eager to learn. " Confucius probably didn't experience famine years. But Confucius' family background is "cheap", so he may not have never been hungry. Therefore, he regards "not having enough to eat and not having enough to live" as a high standard and strict requirement for becoming a gentleman. People who can get such standards and requirements are sure to live a poor and happy life.
5. Ask for a composition. Confucius said: poor without complaining, rich without being arrogant ... according to this sentence, there is a chapter in the Analects of Confucius called "Confucius:' poor without complaining, rich without being arrogant.' Confucius said: "It is difficult to be poor without resentment, but it is easier to be rich without pride." . "Originally this kind of practice is also very difficult, but it is easier to do than being poor and complaining. Please note that here, after comparing the two, Confucius does not mean that it is easy to get rich without arrogance and rashness, which is actually difficult to do from the perspective of history and reality. According to my personal observation and experience, many people want to be proud, but it is actually difficult to do so? If you get rich, get rich, get promoted, get high status, and get old, you don't want to be proud. However, many people will kiss your ass and praise you. If they are not truly educated and moral people, they will involuntarily become proud. What's more, some people have a sense of superiority at this time. The poverty of "being poor without complaining" mainly refers to economic poverty. On the other hand, poor people are poor, poor roads are blocked, and a little knowledge is actually poor. Once a person is poor, he often has grievances. Why? He can't help comparing with the people around him. Others are better than themselves, or some people are much better than themselves. Coupled with the unfairness, injustice and irrationality of society, resentment has arisen from the heart. The so-called complaining is coming. Poor people will cause trouble if they accumulate for a long time. So Confucianism wants to educate people that "poverty leads to life, and happiness leads to happiness"? This is the basic principle of being a man in China traditional culture? But it's not easy to be really poor and secure, is it? Now, some people criticize China culture with these two sentences, saying that China people are not progressing, and they are afraid to fight against unfair things, which is influenced by this thought? Is this criticism right? No, why? Because this is biased! Confucius' education of "being poor makes you happy" and "being contented makes you happy" is only one aspect of personal cultivation. Don't forget, Confucius also taught people to have the spirit of "good health, a gentleman should constantly strive for self-improvement", and other inspirational quotes and truths, such as "wealth can only depend on his way, but also on his actions, and a gentleman can't survive to harm others, but must kill himself to become a human being". Don't just grasp a little, not as good as the rest, or you will go astray.
6. In The Analects of Confucius, Confucius praised the noble quality of Yan Hui's poverty and happiness. In The Analects of Confucius, Confucius praised Yan Hui's noble quality of being poor and happy;

Confucius
Confucius (September 28, 55 BC1year-April 479 BC 1 1 year), surnamed Kong, was born in Qufu, Shandong Province, and his ancestral home was Li Yi (now Xiayi, Henan Province). He was a famous thinker and educator in China. Confucius initiated the atmosphere of private lectures and was the founder of Confucianism.
Educated by Laozi, Confucius led some disciples around the world for fourteen years. In his later years, he studied six classics: Poetry, Shu, Li, Yue, Yi and Chunqiu. According to legend, he has 3,000 disciples, including 72 sages. After the death of Confucius, his disciples and their re-disciples recorded the words and deeds, quotations and thoughts of Confucius and his disciples, and compiled the Confucian classic The Analects.
In ancient times, Confucius was regarded as a "saint of heaven" and a "muduo of heaven". He was one of the most knowledgeable scholars in the society at that time, and was honored by the rulers of later generations as the saint, the most holy and the most holy teacher of Confucius, the master of Wang Xuan and the teacher of all ages. His Confucianism has a far-reaching influence on China and the world, and Confucius is listed as the first of the "Top Ten Cultural Celebrities in the World". Confucius is regarded as the ancestor of Confucianism (non-Confucianism). With the expansion of Confucius' influence, Confucius' sacrifice once became a "great sacrifice" at the same level as the ancestor of God and country.
Yan Hui
Yan Hui (52 BC1-48 BC1) was honored as Yanzi, whose word was Ziyuan, and he was a native of Lu at the end of the Spring and Autumn Period.
At the age of fourteen, I worshipped Confucius as a teacher and worked as a teacher all my life. He is the most proud student of Confucius. Confucius praised Yan Hui the most, and praised him for being studious and kind. Scholars of all previous dynasties praised Yan Hui, and Yan Hui was named Confucius, who worshipped him too firmly, while emperors of all previous dynasties gave him gifts.
7. Write a composition entitled "Dream Back to the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period" and meet Mencius' composition.
Confucius said, "Being unjust and rich is like a cloud to me". In Confucius' mind, doing good is the highest value of life. When there is a contradiction between rich and poor and morality, he would rather be poor than give up morality. However, his happiness in poverty cannot be regarded as not seeking wealth, but maintaining morality, which is not in line with historical facts. Confucius also said: "being rich and expensive is what people want;" If you don't follow its path, you will accomplish nothing. Poverty and meanness are hated by people. If you don't take the main road, you won't get there. " "If you have money, you can ask for it. Even if you are a whip, I will do it. If you can't ask, just do as I say. "
Never tire of learning and never tire of teaching.
Confucius was famous for his eagerness to learn and showed great interest in all kinds of knowledge. Therefore, he was versatile and knowledgeable, and he was very famous at that time. He is almost regarded as an omniscient saint, but Confucius himself doesn't think so. Confucius said, "I can't be a saint, but I never tire of learning and never tire of teaching."
Follow the path of integrity-conduct integrity.
Confucius was upright in nature and advocated going straight. He once said, "I treat others, who will ruin my reputation?" If you are famous, you can try. Simin is also the reason why three generations go straight. "Historical records show that Confucius once asked Lao Tzu when he was in his thirties. When he left, Laozi gave a sentence: "Smart and deep, close to the dead, and good at talking about people. He thinks that those who are dangerous to his health are also evil. A son should not treat himself as his own, but be careful of his muscles. "
help others
Confucius founded the moral theory with benevolence as the core. He is a very kind person, compassionate, helpful, sincere and generous. "Don't do to others what you don't want others to do to you", "A gentleman's adult beauty is not evil" and "I treat others with respect" are all his life principles. Confucius said: "Nine times out of ten, I am determined to learn, and I will stand at thirty.
8. How did Confucius express his poverty, happiness and forgetfulness? 1. Confucius said: "Eating and drinking, bending your arms and resting on them, is also fun. Being unjust and rich is like a cloud to me. "
Translation:
Confucius said, "Eating coarse grains, drinking white water, and bending your arms as a pillow will be fun. Wealth acquired through improper means is like a cloud in the sky to me. "
2. Ye Gong asked Confucius about Luz, but Luz was wrong. Confucius said: "I don't think women are people." She was angry and forgot to eat, and she was happy and forgot her troubles. I don't know that her old age is coming. "
Translation:
Ye asked Confucius what kind of person he was, but he didn't answer. Confucius (to Luz) said, "Why didn't you say that he was so angry that he forgot to eat and was so happy that he forgot all his troubles and didn't even know he was old? That's it."
