Zhuangzi is the main representative of the Taoist school in my country. He created the Zhuangzi school and was a very famous figure in the middle of the Warring States Period. Up to now, he has had a great influence on people's thinking today. Zhuangzi advocates doing nothing and letting nature take its course, but this does not mean that he can let nature take its course for things that make him irritable. This requires human subjective control. Therefore, Zhuangzi also left us several famous aphorisms in this regard.
First, the life of things is as sudden as galloping, motionless but unchanging, and unchanging at all times. Why care, why not? The husband will become a man of his own accord. The meaning of this sentence is that the growth of all things is like running or walking quickly. Every movement is changing. There is no moment when it is not moving, and there is no movement where it is not changing. So what should we do? What not to do? In fact, this sentence tells us that in such a long period of life, there are always some moments of success, and of course there are times of frustration. Where there is happiness, there is sadness, when there is joy, there is sadness, and when there is joy, there is anger.
The second sentence is: A man who walks on water and does not avoid mosquitoes and dragons is a brave fisherman. He who does not avoid tigers while traveling on land is a brave hunter. He who holds the white blade in front of him and regards death as if he were alive is the bravery of a martyr. He who knows that poverty has a destiny, knows that there is a time to overcome, and is not afraid in the face of great difficulties, this is the courage of a saint. The meaning of this sentence is that life, death, destiny, wealth, and fortune will always have some pursuit of fame and fortune in the life of heavenly beings. Sometimes you can pursue it, sometimes you cannot pursue it, and sometimes you pursue it but you don’t get it. Instead of working hard to pursue it, I got this gift that fell from the sky. People are not omnipotent. Although they will die sooner or later, they cannot sit still and wait for death. They must cherish everything and live every day with all their strength.
I hope these sentences can bring you some insights.
