Zhou Yu was narrow-minded
During the Three Kingdoms period, Zhou Yu, the governor of Soochow, was a talented young man with extraordinary agility. "I once paid a visit to three thousand dendrobium trees, and often drove out one hundred thousand soldiers." However, after the Battle of Chibi and Zhuge Liang borrowing the east wind from Nanping Mountain, Zhou Yu was very jealous of Zhuge Liang's all-powerful talent and thought that if Zhuge Liang was not eliminated, he would be in trouble later. For this reason, "I can't rest at night". Based on this worry habit and repeated defeats in battles of wits with Zhuge Liang, the golden sores cracked under the three qi. As a result, a generation of Fenghua died prematurely at the age of thirty-six, which became a regrettable case in history.
The reason why Zhou Yu died at an early age was entirely related to his temperament in life. Although physical quality is fundamental to a person's life span, emotional adjustment sometimes plays a decisive role. Common sayings such as "the demeanor of a general" and "the prime minister's heart can hold a boat" all mean that he has a broad mind and long-term plans, is less anxious about people and things, and is good at thinking about good things. Think about it without worrying about it, be sad without hurting your mind. Su Dongpo, the great poet of the Song Dynasty, has a famous saying: "Don't be surprised when a sudden death comes, don't get angry when there is no reason." That is to say, the kind of calm attitude that one should have when dealing with people. Zhou Yu was the governor and a highly respected minister. If the patient suffered from pain, he would treat it with chicken intestines and lower abdomen, so why should he use grass to support himself?
"When Yu is born, why is Liang born?" This is Zhou Yu's long sigh before his death. One sentence clearly exposed Zhou Yu's jealousy. Thousands of things are created by heaven and earth. Their originally contradictory existences are relative and dependent on each other. This is the result of the creation of heaven. The problem is that Zhou Yu is jealous and heartbroken. Although he thought he was extremely wise and considerate, he could never tolerate the intolerable things. What is overlooked here is that "endurance" means "wisdom" and "endurance" means "victory". After all, Zhou Yu still lacks an inner instinct of self-detachment.
Cao Cao, a contemporary of Zhou Yu, was able to do this. After the fierce battle at Chibi, Cao Cao suffered a heavy defeat. There are only twenty-seven horses left, which is very painful. But he was able to deal with it calmly without losing his ambition. Zhengxiong was born of strategy, and his ambition to serve as an official was strong, and he later became a hegemonic leader.
If the body is not there, where is the mind? If the mind is not there, where is the karma? It seems that as a person in life, you should be "indifferent to clarify your ambitions, be quiet and reach far". Career is important and self-cultivation is fundamental. The spirit is narrow, the gold is buried in the jade, and the hatred is left for eternity, and it is too late to regret it!
