Do young teachers need education and scientific research? For most teachers, the answer is yes, because they have to "do" educational research. Without papers and topics, professional titles cannot be obtained, key teachers cannot be evaluated, and young teachers have to do pseudo-scientific research. But in fact, for a long time, like many young teachers, I have spared no effort in criticizing the current educational and scientific research on many occasions, thinking that it is a waste of time and the production of academic garbage. Of course, in my heart, I also clearly know that teaching and scientific research promote each other. But after all, a person's energy is limited, and there is an inherent contradiction between the two. So do we need education and scientific research? I think it is very necessary.
After graduating from college, I went to a rural junior high school to teach first-year students as a class teacher. How did I teach at that time? I follow what others do, and I do what you do. It has always been like this. I am young and energetic and want to make a name for myself. However, I overlooked why I was doing this and what else could I do? Without any thinking of one's own. There is an example: At that time, I asked students to come to school very early to study early. This also forced me to come earlier than the students, because in this way the students did not have free time to make noises. As a result, I was there, the students were well-behaved, and I was not there. , they don’t know what to do at all, let alone teach themselves. There is no way, what should I do? Others said: "You can arrange a few 'undercovers' to monitor their morning reading." So I did it... But, I failed again, and the "undercovers" betrayed me. Later, I reflected on my practice as a class teacher and found that I was really an incompetent class teacher. I took care of everything. What else were these class cadres used for? If students make a small mistake, I will go on the syllabus without giving them a chance to explain. Will "education" be useful as time goes by? There was no way, I wanted to be a qualified class teacher, so I bought some educational books, such as "Love and Education", "Education of Love", and "The Art of War for Class Teachers". According to the books, I took into account the actual situation of my own class. After experiments, the students in the class They learn to "take care of" themselves and they grow up. After tasting the sweetness, I really want to calm down and think about it. Li Ao once said in Mainland China: "You have to believe that he is real and work hard for it, then she can be real." I believe that education and scientific research can make me smarter. So how should young teachers do educational research?
1. Have a good attitude: the qualities that young teachers should have in education and scientific research
Why put "a good attitude" in the first place. Many young teachers want to become famous and start a family through education and scientific research. However, looking at the resumes of educators at home and abroad in ancient and modern times, which "master or famous person" achieved success overnight? They all persisted step by step and finally succeeded. Young teachers must believe that "opportunities always favor those who are prepared." We must have lofty pursuits beyond the world and not treat educational and scientific research from a utilitarian perspective. Young teachers must have a good attitude and devote themselves to educational and scientific research work. They should possess six basic scientific research qualities: have a strong sense of professionalism, and always maintain an enterprising spirit without being satisfied with existing achievements; they must explore and innovate, and dare to doubt habits. Behaviors and routines, dare to explore, dare to innovate; to be a shrewd and careful person, good at observing life, and good at seeking universal laws from small behaviors; to be diligent in mind, hand, and eyes; to be practical and seek truth from facts Have a good work attitude and do not exaggerate; you must have a spirit of perseverance and not being afraid of setbacks. All these qualities are very important for a young teacher to do a good job in educational research. Since I am busy with teaching work during the day, I rarely have free time to read. In order not to affect my teaching work, I often read after ninety o'clock in the evening. Gradually, I developed the habit of reading for a while before going to bed before falling asleep. Sometimes I feel like I have something to say about a certain point of view while reading. Even if it is very late, I will get up from bed and record some of my thoughts on the computer. Many times I even forget the time. I got up early the next morning, washed my face with cold water, and came to school early. In this "boring" life, I learned to persevere. This persistence has also benefited me a lot. Many published articles were finally formed after countless sleepless nights.
2. Theoretical learning: a reliable cornerstone for young teachers’ educational and scientific research
If young teachers want to engage in scientific education and scientific research, they must first have certain theoretical knowledge of educational science, such as pedagogy, psychology The basic concepts, categories, principles, etc. of learning can be appropriately used in practice, understand educational trends, and master some new educational concepts. Young teachers can broaden their horizons by reading relevant education and teaching books, absorb advanced domestic and foreign education and teaching experience, update, enrich and optimize their original knowledge structure, compare their own weaknesses, carry out educational scientific research, and improve in research. They should form new insights and perspectives, obtain the results of educational and scientific research, and regard the acquisition of educational and scientific research results as a goal and motivation for their own work practice. "When a book is used, it will be regretted", "A person can't live without a book just like he can't live without the air." Indeed, these are wise words. It may be difficult for young teachers to understand some theoretical books, but as long as you read the books that are half-understood, you will make progress. Regarding reading, I don’t think you can get the essence or connotation by just reading it once. Reading requires slow reading, deep thinking and chewing, and you should also write down some reading experience while reading.
Now, I refer to reading theory and practice when researching topics, and I understand every bit of educational and scientific research in reading, and the effect is very good.
3. Try writing: the only way for young teachers to do educational and scientific research
Everything in the world is a reward, and so is education and scientific research. As "newcomers" in education and scientific research, young teachers should invest more time and energy, devote themselves wholeheartedly to scientific research work, and actively record their thoughts and thoughts. Through learning, practice, and reflection, they should make teaching and scientific research more effective. No matter how far out of reach it is. Since young teachers have relatively little theoretical foundation, they can write educational and teaching cases. Case analysis is a vivid story with wonderful comments. The process of writing educational cases is a process of re-understanding educational facts, a process of reflection, research, and improvement. Frequent writing of education and teaching cases is conducive to cultivating young teachers' keen observation skills, improving teachers' ability to comprehend education and teaching, thereby promoting the professional development of young teachers. Over the years, in order to adapt myself to the needs of students, I have learned to reflect on my own educational and teaching behaviors, and have recorded many of my insights in writing and submitted them to newspapers and magazines, and I have gained a little bit. He has successively published in "Teaching and Management", "Foreign Language Teaching and Learning in Middle Schools", "English Teaching and Research in Primary and Secondary Schools", "Ideological and Political Course Teaching", "Basic English Education", "Curriculum Research", "Basic Education Reference", "School Party Building and Ideological Education", etc. More than 100 educational and teaching papers of nearly 100,000 words have been published in national, provincial and municipal newspapers and magazines. In 2011, he was exceptionally rated as Wujiang City's Teaching Science Expert and Wujiang City's Advanced Individual in Education and Scientific Research. These have greatly stimulated my interest in engaging in educational and scientific research, also improved my interest in life, strengthened my belief in engaging in educational and scientific research, and pushed me to move towards higher goals.
In short, young teachers should follow the laws of education and teaching, consciously enhance their awareness of teaching and scientific research, attach great importance to the improvement of educational and scientific research literacy, observe the trends in teaching and science with a forward-looking perspective, feel the new trends in education with an open attitude, and With a truth-seeking attitude to explore the laws of education, I believe that young teachers will be able to have a bright future on the road of education and scientific research.
