Looking down from a high place, listening to the affairs of all directions, being silent and motionless, feeling and being unobstructed,
Everything is done by itself. If a king wants to take care of others, he must first take care of himself.
Volume 12 of "Forty Huayan"
There are five lovely ways to be a king. Why are they five? The one who is respected and loved in this life, the second is the self-confidence, the third is the ability to destroy enemies, the fourth is the good that nourishes the body, and the fifth is the ability to perform good deeds. There are five kinds of people who can perform lovely things. Why are they five? The first is kindness to the world, the second is bravery, the third is good power and convenience, the fourth is the realm of righteous love, and the fifth is diligence in practicing Dharma.
There are five mistakes in the king that will lead to the loss of the gate. Why are they five? First, he is not good at observation and takes control of his colleagues; second, although he is good at observation, he is not careful about his wonderful actions even if they are not at the right time; third, he is free and careless and does not think about the maintenance of the machine; fourth, he is extravagant and has no financial resources; fifth, he is indulgent and does not practice Dharma.
"The Buddha Speaks the Sutra of Love for the King"
If Bodhisattvas abide in the pure precepts and rituals of Bodhisattvas, they should be able to blame, punish and punish sentient beings when they see them. If one is possessed of anger but does not rebuke him, or if he rebukes but does not punish him according to the Dharma's instructions, or if he punishes him but does not rebuke him according to the Dharma's instructions, this is called a crime.

The king is the leader of his subjects. He always shows kindness and kindness, takes the lead with Dharma and precepts, and shows his forgiveness.
Don’t forget the danger when you are in peace, and think about the good fortune. The reward of merit does not matter whether you are superior or inferior.
My husband is a general in the world. He who obeys the righteousness and is not in vain, and whose mind is attuned to overcome all evils, is the king of Dharma.
Seeing righteousness can give benefits, benevolent and benefiting others, and since it is beneficial to others, everyone will become relatives.
"Dhammapada·Tao Lipin"
For example, if parents express gratitude to their children, they always want to free themselves from suffering and achieve happiness, and the king should also respond. All sentient beings in various countries and towns, including servants and servants serving as envoys and assistants, should follow the four instructions mentioned by the Buddhas and receive them. What is four? The first is charity, the second is loving words, the third is benefiting from deeds, and the fourth is working together.
"The Sutra of the Tathagata's Teachings to the Victorious King"
This is the great sage king who can make all living beings happy through the righteous Dharma. For example, in all palaces in the world, the pillars are the foundation, the people are happy, the king is the foundation, and the king has a reason. Just like the Brahma King can give birth to all things, the Holy King can give birth to the Dharma and benefit all living beings that govern the country. Just as the Son of Heaven can illuminate the world, the Holy King can also observe the happiness and well-being of the people in the world. If the king loses his rightful governance, the people will have no one to rely on. If it is rectified, the eight major terrors will not enter the country: the so-called invasion by other countries, rebellion within one's own country, evil diseases, famine in the land, untimely wind and rain, untimely wind and rain, eclipses of the sun and moon, and strange changes in the stars. The king of men is righteous and benefits the people, so the eight difficulties cannot invade him.

Volume 2 of "Upasaka Sutra" "Vows"
If you can sacrifice your own happiness but do good deeds for all sentient beings, you are called a superior person. ...If you only perform good deeds for the sake of sentient beings, and the sentient beings do not achieve it, then it is sufficient for self-interest.
