Li Bai was about to set off in a boat, when he suddenly heard people singing on the shore.

The water in Peach Blossom Pond is a thousand feet deep, not as deep as Wang Lun’s love for me.

① Ta Ge: A folk form of singing. While singing, you tap your feet on the ground to make time. You can sing while walking.

②Taohuatan: one hundred miles southwest of Jingxian County, Anhui Province. "Yi Tong Zhi" calls it unfathomable.

③ Thousands of feet deep: The poet used the metaphor of the friendship between Wang Lun and him to describe the friendship between Wang Lun and him. He used an exaggerated technique (the pond is not a thousand feet deep) to describe the deep friendship, which is very touching.

④Not as good as: not as good as.

⑤ Wang Lun: Li Bai’s friend. When Li Bai visited Taohuatan in Jing County (in today's Anhui Province), Wang Lun from nearby Jia Village often entertained Li Bai with wine he brewed, and the two formed a deep friendship.
