The Millennium of Loyalty, Kindness, Courage and Guan Gong

Thursday (2065438+February 22, 2008), hello!

Don't say peony, don't say Huang Wu, don't say White Horse Temple, just say Guan Gong, it is a lucky Luoyang! Because in history, Confucius and Guan Yu were both related to Luoyang. Luoyang was lucky enough to bury Guan Yu, and loyalty was accompanied by Luoshui.

Today is the seventh day of the Lunar New Year. I passed Guanlin Temple the other day. Looking at the lively scene outside, I deliberately want to have a look. I have to be free today. Let's go to Guanlin Temple Fair.

The square outside the mountain gate is naturally lively, and all kinds of music are mixed together. I can't hear clearly which is the main theme, mixed with spring breeze and warm. The whole floor is a playground. It used to be a theater square. Because there is no play, it has become a place for children to play. The temple fair became a playground. Of course, what I want to see is not here.

The gate faces the theater, and there are eight-character walls on both sides, which respectively write the words "loyalty" and "benevolence", indicating the ideal personality of the martial artist and the cultural theme of Guanlin Temple.

Enter the mountain gate, the first is the instrument gate. In fact, Yimen was originally the outermost door, and it was not until the Ming Dynasty that it became a mountain gate. The word "Guanlin" on the lintel was inscribed by Wang Duo, a calligrapher in Qing Dynasty, and it was vigorous and elegant.

In fact, Guanlin was not originally called Lin, but called Tomb, and it was not until Kangxi that it was renamed Lin. So far, there are two tombs of saints, Kong Lin in Shandong and Guan Lin in Luoyang, China. There is a Little Square outside the instrument door. I heard that there are yangko here. Look back.

Go through the instrument door and then go inside. It should be the main hall of Guanlin, with Guan Yu sitting in the middle, but the statue of Guan Yu has lost our impression that Guan Yu is a handsome red face with a dragon crescent moon blade. But wearing the emperor's hat and holding the protective plate marked with the big dipper, the image is clearly the emperor. On the left of Guan Dijun are Wang Fu and Guan Ping, and on the right are Zhou Cang and Liao Hua. Around the substation, Guan Gong was guarded. Zhou Cang is Guan Yu's escort, loyal to Guan Yu. He committed suicide when he heard the news of Guan Yu's death. Wang Fu is the marshal of Guan Yu. He stayed in Maicheng with Zhou Cang. When he heard that Guan Yu had been killed, he refused to surrender and fell to the city with a loud cry.

Heroes are loyal, and scholars die for their bosom friends. How magnificent and strong!

On the right side of the temple pillars on both sides, it says "A man with a red eyebrow and a phoenix eye is beautiful, Guan Fuzi", and on the left side, it says "Red Rabbit Horse, Crescent Knife, Green Shirt Army, Powerful Saint".

As can be seen from this couplet, Guan Yu and Confucius are juxtaposed, which means that a historical figure in the Three Kingdoms is mythologized as a saint. Bypassing the main hall, there is also a statue of Guan Yu carved on the back wall of the main hall. The statue is the image of Guan Yu in our mind at ordinary times. Guan Yu is studying with a book in his hand. It can be seen that Guan Yu is also a studious man, but his eyes are not reading, but staring at the front. What is Guan Yu thinking? There are two huge murals on both sides of the statue, which show Guan Yu riding a red hare and holding a crescent knife. Magnificent and unstoppable.

Through the main hall, there is a tunnel leading to the secondary hall. The tunnel is decorated with lanterns and colorful decorations, which is very festive It says "lucky money and treasure" in gold, and many tourists take pictures there. Didn't you go into the temple of wealth? Yes, the second hall, also known as the Temple of Wealth, has four golden characters on the lintel, meaning that Guan Yu is aboveboard and chivalrous. On the buildings on both sides, there are gold-lettered couplets on the red background: "Loyalty and righteousness to Zhao, which in ancient times was called brave to protect the country, and the possession of cymbals to enrich the people was the most benevolent", which revealed Guan Yu's "loyalty and benevolence". Guan Yu sat in the hall with a red face and a beautiful beard. The lucky teenagers standing on both sides with abacus and the teenagers with fair names expressed the traditional concept of loyal people and taking the wealth of benevolence and righteousness.

I think everyone regards Guan Yu as the god of wealth. Mainly reading "faith" and "righteousness". Guan Yu's actions give the best explanation to "faithfulness" and "righteousness". In this regard, Guan Yu truly achieved "the unity of knowledge and action". The most important thing in business is faith. With faith and justice, you can get rich!

Behind the Temple of the God of Wealth is the Spring and Autumn Temple. The couplets on both sides of the main hall are: loyalty, righteousness, longevity, devotion to God, holiness, immortality, benevolence, courage and wisdom. Inside the hall, the bronze statue of Guan Yu is sitting. On the left is a portrait of Guan Yu watching Spring and Autumn Annals at night, and on the right is a statue of Guan Yu's couch. It is said that this is the only reclining Buddha among many Guan Yu temples in China. There used to be an organ in the hall. When people go to that place, Guan Yu will sit up as soon as they step on the organ. Later, perhaps because of safety problems, they removed this organ. Actually, I think it's better to leave. Let Master Guan have a serious rest there.

I think Chunqiu Temple is very suitable for students to have a look, and it also has a good inspirational role. All saints like learning so much, not to mention us ordinary people?

The Three Kingdoms period is a period of chaos, constant conquest, people's suffering and untold sufferings, but at the same time it is also a legendary era of heroes and great events. During this period, emperors and generals, people with lofty ideals, advisers and lobbyists, or strategizing, winning thousands of miles, or origami paintings all showed their romantic feelings on the historical stage with their distinctive personalities, outstanding talents and brilliant achievements, leaving a magnificent picture with rich colors. People are not born to know. The reason why these historical figures go down in history and contribute to bamboo and silk is inseparable from their diligence and enterprising spirit.

Behind the Spring and Autumn Temple is the tomb where Guan Yu's head is buried. There are two stone archways and a pavilion. There are two banners in the first stone workshop, engraved with "Han Shou Pavilion Waiting for the Tomb" and engraved with "Central Wan Chai". "Central" means finger, "Wan" means still, "Central Wan Chai" means that Guan Yu's head is still buried here, and Guan Yu's spirit of loyalty, righteousness and courage still lives in people's hearts. On both sides of the second stone square, there are couplets engraved with "Heroes are called masters, and loyalty is only the name of the emperor", which is a compliment to Guan Gong's loyalty.

On the way back, we watched the yangko outside the instrument door. A group of uncles and aunts, wearing red and green trousers and holding red towels, are dancing happily there. Some people also row dry boats. There is an old man, dressed in women's clothes, smoking a pipe, half a meter long and still smoking. This is very interesting. Dancing yangko and boating are unique folk customs in China New Year. In the temple fair, it is no exaggeration to show it to Master Guan.

Today is the temple fair. There are naturally all kinds of snacks and children's toys in the garden, as well as some nondescript performances. Now there are snacks in the temple fair, which is necessary. However, in such a place where heroes are admired, garbage is everywhere, bamboo poles are sideways and dirt is flowing. Really feel out of place, lively, but less etiquette. Does it make the protagonist a little fidgety? If there is a temple fair, it is better to change places.

The place to worship Guan Yu should not be turned into a place to make trouble with Guan Yu.

Loyalty, kindness, courage, Guan Gong and a thousand years.
