According to Enzo Ferrari's own explanation, there is a story about the origin of "Tengma".
It was May 25, 1923, and after his victory at the Savio Arena near Ravenna, he was recognized by the mother of the war hero Francesco Baracoa. Baraka was a legendary air force pilot who shot down 34 enemy planes. His plane had a soaring horse pattern painted on it. Baraka's mother, Duchess Paulina Baraka, took her son's "Tengma" coat of arms and said to Enzo Ferrari after seeing Ferrari: "Ferrari, take it and stick it on your car. It will bring you good luck." Ferrari readily agreed, and as she said, Ferrari cars with the "Tengma" logo won the championship again and again. Since then, "Tengma" has become the logo of Ferrari cars.
But as the war was coming to an end, Baraka died in a plane crash in the Montello Valley. Ferrari fixed the "Tengma" in black. The yellow background color of the logo is the city symbol color of Modena, where Ferrari is located.
