① Do not do things that are of short-term benefit, and do not go to places where everyone is fighting for them;

③ Talking about other people’s shortcomings is to protect your own shortcomings, and praising your own strengths is to avoid others’ strengths;
④ Profit can be overwhelming but not independent; strategy can be limited but not numerous;
⑤ The mediocre people in the world in ancient and modern times all failed because of a lazy word, and the talented people in the world in ancient and modern times all failed. People all fail with the word "arrogance";
⑥Whenever great things are accomplished, knowledge is the main factor, and talent is the supplement. Half of it is human planning, and the other half is God's will.
Zeng Guofan talks about the principles of life
① Light wealth is enough to gather people, self-discipline is enough to convince others, tolerance is enough to win people, and being proactive is enough to lead people.
② The more despicable children from poor families are, the easier it is for them to grow up, while the more coquettish children from rich families are, the harder it is for them to grow up.
③The rightness depends on the eyes and nose, the true and false depends on the lips, the fame depends on the spirit, and the wealth depends on the spirit.
④Be sincere without regrets, forgive without resentment, be harmonious without enmity, and endure without humiliation.
⑤Those who are arrogant and inferior to others must be shallow, and those who are suspicious of others must be villains.
⑥Things will be defeated in a hurry, but success will be achieved in a slow way.

6. If you are not afraid of the masses scolding you, you are afraid that the masses will not look for you.
7. You can offend busy people, but you cannot offend idle people.
8. Small victory depends on wisdom, big victory relies on virtue.

Those who win over themselves; those who are virtuous;
